The best offering at the Far West Ireland brewpub--and the furthest from being Irish. Sunrise, tang appearance with a loose head and a banana lemon aroma. This was a flavorfully banana brew with some smitherings of clove. This is a favorite a german wheat.

This was probably the surprise of the night, not because it was necessarily the best beer of the several Far West beers at "Brewer’s Night" but because of this Hefe’s rather unusually unique flavor - something you really don’t find much in NW hefes. This was packed with sediment - looked like pulpy lemonade actually, there is a softness in the esters here that is reminiscient of banana taffee - in fact the banana character is strong enough that it inspired the brewery to whip up a batch of Hefe Ice Cream - which was actually pretty damn good. I think this beer has some ground to make up on the few really excellent Hefeweizens out there, but this was pretty damn interesting.
