Excalibur123 (191) - Soria, SPAIN - DEC 19, 2014

Hazy dark brown appearance. Aroma has some floral and herbal tones and some liquorice. Flavour is similar perhaps with some aniseed too. Overall it’s too sweet.

Suave aroma a ahumado y malta tostada.

i>330 ml bottle. BB 06/May/2014. (Carrefour) Almería, Spain.
Dark brown - almost black - colour with a tiny tan head. Liquorice, salt, sea water, roasted malt and some sweetness in the aroma. The flavour is roasted malt, some medicine, liquorice, mild bitterness and some vegetables. A bit strange brew. Homebrewish.

330ml bottle from Hipercor.
In short: a harsh murky amber ale.
Pours murky orange, lots of sedimens flocks, with nice frothy off white head. Some head retention, poor lacing. Some solvent like aromas.Medium body, average carbonation, crispy texture. Taste is harsh, high alcohols, some maltiness, caramel, mild bitter. Quite unbalanced, a bit unpleasant.
Classified as schwarzbier heere, poor executed amber ale for me.
