Patterned after the rich, smooth, malty ales of Scotland, Stone’s Throw is dominated by caramel toffee, toasty malt, hints of cocoa, residual honey sweetness and just enough hops to keep this rock on the button. The perfect brew for someone new to craft beer. Cheers, skip!

12 oz can. My rating #3400 and my final state rating. Clear purple brown with edgy froth. Nose is stewed prunes, toffee, cabbage and earth. Oily medium body with a buzz. Taste is watery grape juice, ash, paper and apple peel. Metallic finish. Not undrinkable but not good.

A clear, dark amber colored beer with a small, dense, beige head. The aroma is quite toffee-ish, with some buttery notes and a decent fruityness. Soft and pleasantly carbonated, medium bodied and quite dry on the palate. Caramel, fruityness and a buttery touch in the flavor. Peaty notes and not much bitterness. Long finish. Nothing special going on here, but a quite decent one anyway. 141219

NoDak Brew! Can poured into a glass -- This is a pretty good overall Scottish. I wish it was a little maltier and had more to it. Will drink again.

Can thanks to trade with GreatDane1653! Pours a deep brown with minimal cream colored head that leaves light lace. Aroma is deep caramel malts, hint of smoke, and fruity English esters. Taste follows, a bit big for the abv, but overall enjoyable.

Can from dresden-- thanks for the North Dakota tick Steve! Medium red-brown, light gold head that fades quickly. Sweet burnt sugars and brewers mash, very very thin. This tastes like a poorly executed home brew. Not undrinkable, but not very good either.
