Patterned after the rich, smooth, malty ales of Scotland, Stone’s Throw is dominated by caramel toffee, toasty malt, hints of cocoa, residual honey sweetness and just enough hops to keep this rock on the button. The perfect brew for someone new to craft beer. Cheers, skip!

Pours a medium brown with quickly fading head leaving nothing left and no lacing. Aroma is sweet malts, nutty with wheat bread and honey. Taste is mild roast, mild overall. Not offensive, but nothing noteworthy going on here.

Can from Dresden, thanks buddy! Dark brown butterscotch pour, nice hue go creamy white head. Aroma, light malts, and aluminum. Taste, fairly carbonated, bready grains, bit of soapy aftertaste. Overall, not sure what they were going for here but this is a pretty tasteless brew (other than the soapy finish), down the drain she goes.

Can, tasting at Matt’s
Brown color with small head. Smell of caramel and corn. Weak, some caramel flavor, vegetables, low bitterness.

12 oz. bottle, pours a clear dark orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out some honey sweetness and light caramel. Flavour brings out some nice DMS, tomato soup, vegetal notes, and light honey sweetness. Finish leaves almost nothing but carbonated water. Really weak and boring - not a disaster, but what’s the point of this. Not good.

On tap at JL Beers, Grand Forks. Sweet, nice palate. An enjoyable little beer. Quite nice.

Odd aroma, slightly too sweet on the nose. Tatse is a little too sweet as well with light malt body, needs more complexity. Overall not my favorite but wanted to try a beer from ND.

Again, feel bad for the poor rating. Love the can design. Pours hazy, light reddish brown with absolutely no head. Aroma has chocolate, but also smells oxidized, has diacetyl, and an overwhelming amount of acetic. Vinegar bomb. Flavor is more papery chocolate, kinda pickle juice. Total bummer.

Can - Fargo brewed. North Dakota tick and a curling themed beer tick! Dark amber pour. First off, I dont really ever drink this style, so i dont know wtf to look for but aroma is nutty, slightly raisin. Light in flavor, but caramel and a bit of fruit. Not a great beer, but pretty easy to drink, and a legit Nodak brew.

Bottle sent from Jake65 Slightly hazy deep chestnut brown with a dense very sturdy sandy colored head. Mild woody malt aroma. Sweet malty flavors of wheat toast with butter and honey. Some slight rusty nail notes, and a touch bitter at the end. Very soft carbonation and a full and smooth feel. Not bad,

12oz bottle thanks to Jake65. Pours a translucent nut brown with some thin, lacing, slightly off white head. Nose is interesting, some apple, some cider, a little chocolate, some bread, earthy, a little soil, some stone fruit, a little dusty. Flavor is nice, malty, brown sugar, a little light caramel, some apple, some plum, a little bread crust, some orange. Relatively clean finish.
