3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 bobbypaulson (217) - Fergus Falls, USA - NOV 29, 2011
Finally reviewing this one after having this one many times. Reviewing this one from JL beers in fargo,ND. on tap into a tall boy a nice light brown gold color with a thick white head that leaves about a quarter inch of head. No bubbles as you stare throw it. Smell is of floral hops and some citrus. The taste is of great bitter hops and then mellows, but the bitterness lingers and there is some carbination once it enters. It’s not really balanced it for a person who likes hops this is just right with the hop linger. Over all a well brewed beer keep it coming Fargo!!!!
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Savvy1982 (1450) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 10, 2012
Draft at JL Beers in Fargo, ND. Really like the name, even if it is a bit obvious... Pours clear ’old gold’ with a 1-finger off-white head, nice lacing. Nose is soapy, spicy grapefruit - moderate pine. This is pretty much the "cookie cutter IPA" nose, but very well executed. Flavours of spicy pine, cedar, very dry, with a building bitterness. A very classic, straightforward IPA, with nice pine/spruce notes throughout.

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2012 Clear golden orange pour with foamy white head. Lots of carbonation visible. Aroma is pine and floral. Taste is somewhat bitter, with citrus and some malt notes. Not a hop bomb or anything, but a decent ipa.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 emeinz (212) - Minnesota, USA - NOV 23, 2011
growler to glass. Big citrus aroma. Pretty good aroma. That’s about where good comments stop. Amber/gold color with white head that seems to dissipate quickly. Not a bad beer for the first out of Fargo (that’s brewed in Wisconsin)
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 piscator34 (1644) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - NOV 19, 2011
Draft sample. Pale amber in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of pine, pale malt, and leafy C-hops. A fairly even blend of pine and pale + caramel malt in the mouth, with a floral orange and black pepper finish. Medium bodied with solid bitterness. Seems like a very "playing it safe" take on the style. Could dial back on the malts and pine notes, and push the citrus a bit more.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 mtjoseph (231) - Murderapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 15, 2011
Growler. Pours a deep gold orange with some amber highlights. Looks a little thin. Aroma consisting of juicy starbursts, some sweet caramel malt, and a little hop kick. A tad on the sweeter side, the body is thin and rather watery. The hop presence is rather fruity, but there is no real bitterness in the finish. Where’s the hops in the body? A good effort from ND, just needs a more prominent hop presence.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Atom (689) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 15, 2011
Growler pours bright amber with a small white head. Aroma of sweet malts, cotton candy, slight citrus and pine. Taste starts out with watery citrus and fruits, followed by some pine and finishing with a Malty grain bitterness. Interesting, drinkable, nice too see some beers coming out of ND. Big thanks to Sobo for sharing this!
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 mattyb83 (636) - Minnesota, USA - NOV 15, 2011
Growler shared by a friend. Golden color with a small white head. Quite nice looking, actually. Aroma is fairly light or maybe my nose is that stuffy. Light grass, some fruity notes, and caramel. Not bad. Taste is fairly bitter, actually. Grassy with lots of caramel, but seriously quite bitter. Out of place. Slightly thin. I just don’t know, this isn’t great but this isn’t good to be honest.
