Bottle. Aroma of some spiceiness mingling with pale malt, lemon. Flavor right along with that. Not bad at all.

Bottle shared by fredandboboflo. Pours a clear orange with a thick white head. Aroma of light fruits, melon, and lemon/citrus. Flavor of light lemony sweetness, spices, with a bitter finish. Blandish but very drinkable and a good session. The best Farmington River beer. I liked this one!

(12oz bottle) Hazy straw body topped by small off-white head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, orange/floral, pear/cantaloupe. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, some orange, light bread, straw. Watery light body with some chalk.

Braudog (5025) - Hampton, Virginia, USA - OCT 8, 2007
Bottle: Poured a golden amber with a solidly huge poofy head of white foam. The aroma is somewhat yeasty and a tad bit citrus-flowery. Drinks with quite the light presentation all the way around ... slightly musty, not unlike an American wheat with a bit of a hazy yeasty flow. The finish is tight and tangy. Decent little light ale, if a bit earthy. Bring on the fish and chips. (#3128, 10/8/2007)

(Rating #1297)

pours a nice clear gold with a one finger fluffy white head. aroma is a nice orange hops with some malt. has a light to medium body with descent lacing and some nice carbonation. flavor is orange peel hops a little pine and malt. has a little corn aroma and flavor also. not the best i have had but not bad. just a bit thin, but has a nice little carbonation bite and a nice little dry hop aftertaste. has a little creamy feel to it and as it warms more malt comes out in aroma and flavor. also has a little grain taste, this is almost bordering a strong pils. descent session ale.

Looks like a promising beer - a cloudy yellow with a white head. Lacking in a lot of texture - very watery and bitter. A littl ebit of orange rind flavor to it. As it got warmer it got harder to finish.

Bottle, from Julio’s. Good nose, sweet. Citrusy, orange and grapefruit. I get a scent I associate with canned ice tea. little nutty yeasty, straw, grass, toffee. Tad hazy orangy god color, Ok head that faded quickly. Sweet bitter flavors, like aromas. Thought the grapefruit was dominant. Also a little taste of corn (I think). Thinner body, lite cramy/syrupy mouthfeel, lite bitter finish. Nice lite drinkin ale, I had a different thought in mind for a blonde.

Tap at Luna’s in West Hartford Poured slightly hazy and golden with a creamy head on top. Another faint aroma, grassy and slightly yeasty. Flavor is not at bitter as the mahogany and a bit smoother. Creamy almost. Not a lot of flavor, some grassy hops, sourdough, and slightly sweet. I thought this was the better of the two Farmington River ales.

Bottle courtesy of clarkvv: Slightly hazy golden yellow body with a medium frothy white head. Aroma is earthy, grassy hops, mild citrus, sweet malt, and bread dough. Medium bodied, creamy palate. Taste is sweet malt, crisp citrus & spicy hops, light yeast, and dusty corn.
