473ml can. I can’t comment on the pour, as I had it from the can. The aroma is mainly biscuit and nutty malt, with a little pine hops in there. Mild pine hops up front are soon taken over by nutty malt in the mid-palate. More mild hops in the finish, but not really enough. Decently drinkable, but really more of a bitter than an IPA.

Malty caramel taste with a bit of sweetness. A bit of hop aftertaste but not nearly enough for an IPA. Reasonably drinkable beer but nothing special and not really an IPA.

Can. A rousse looking beer with a fruity & malty caramel Aroma. Medium to light bodied with a clean semi-dry finish. Definitely more malt forward than US style IPAs, it delivers biscuit, light caramel, citrus and pine.

Beurk. Cette bière n’a aucun intérêt. Comment peut on la qualifier de IPA? Couleur rousse, aucune mousse, odeur dherbe, goût medicamenteux. C’est juste mauvais. Une des pires IPA que j’ai eu le malheur de goûter.

Can at home. Pours chestnut with an off white head. Caramel/toffee aroma. Medium body, medium carbonation. Caramel, lemon, orange, wood, light treacle... Its overly sweet and there’s few hops present for an IPA. Not great.

473 ml can from the SAQ.

Appearance: Pours a deep clear copper colour with a couple fingers of white head. Average retention and lots of lacing.

Aroma: Malt, tobacco, cereal.

Flavours: Malt, cereal, hint of tobacco.

Mouthfeel: Smooth and flat.

Overall: This would make a decent Brown ale with all of the malt but I didn’t get any of the usual IPA pine or citrus aromas and flavors.

Cannette. Reddish clear amber pour with little head. Muted aroma with biscuit and some floral hops. Medium to light bodied has some toast and light bitterness. English styled IPA.

Appearance: clear medium amber with a short, short-lived light tan head and patchy lacing. (3/5) Aroma: caramel, mild pine, grassy/floral. (6/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderately strong bitter. (5/10) Palate: medium body, moderate-low carbonation, lingering moderate bitter finish. (3/5) Pretty unremarkable, malt-dominant IPA - really more an English IPA than the American IPA the label claims. Maybe even an ESB, really. Not something I’d recommend. (11/20)

Can from Depanneur Chez Ben. Clear deep copper with a huge off white head that fades slowly and leaves great lace all the way down. Nose is mostly caramel with some light pine and citrus and lighter floral hints. Medium light toffee sweetness with a similar level of bitterness. Medium slick mouth with average carbonation. More of an English IPA in character without the citrus punch of an American IPA despite being called an American I.P.A. on the label.
