Pale gold, bubbly, seriously dry. Richly aromatic, suggesting myriad fruits of the earth, and the earth itself, with a complex, palate-cleansing balance of fruitiness, astringency, and acid. Alcohol content 7.5% by volume. Full cork closure, 750 ml. bottle. Delicious with many foods, much as the driest champagne can be.

Rated on 6-28-2009 (Corked and caged bottle) This cider pours a small very fizzy white head that quickly dissipated, transparent yellow body, fizzy, lively, and fast rising carbonation. The Aroma is sweet, tart, earthy, apples and fruity. The Taste is sweet, lightly acidic, tart, apples, and fruity. The finish is very dry and clean. The Palate is very dry and this cider is medium bodied. This cider is a bit too sweet and tart tasting for my liking and this is not one of the better ciders that I have rated.

C&C 750 mL bottle from Beer Run. Pours a clear vibrant golden color with lots of carbonation that keeps a thin head afloat for a bit. Aroma of very sweet apples with a light tartness and some faint vanilla. The taste is dry apples, tart and slightly vinous with a slight Concord grape thing going on. Medium bodied, crisp.

Sampled at the 2013 Chicago Cider Summit. Pours a clear light gold with no head whatsoever. Aroma has a real nice full dry apple note with a bit of sweetness coming in. Aroma is much more dry with a good amount of earthy apple and a strong dry finish.

Pours a very light straw color with a faint subtle nose of ripe apple and slight acidic note. On the palate its dry very dry and clean. The champagne of apples.. really great with a light seafood dish and a good bitter green apple bite to lend more depth to the extra dry experience.

Backlog late 2011/early 2012...750mL bottle...pors clear gold with a very thin fizzy white head. Aroma has some sweet apple with underlying funk...touch of faint sulfur. Flavor has nice apple but not sweet...funky with a touch of oak and white wine. Mouthfeel is light and the finish is dry apple/white wine.

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2013 Poured a few glasses for myself while serving patrons at some fest in the Lexington Armory. Clear, pale wheat yellow/gold. Champagne-like active. Dusty dry fruit & cores on the nose. Earthy, grassy, minerally. Surprisingly bittersweet skin-y taste upfront, however quick. Though the actual texture through to the finish is so very dry. Faintly yeasty & minerally. Cooling... wintergreen mint? Plush, microbeaded carbonation. Subtle twang near the finish. Light alcohol burn. Awesome stuff. There should be a different scale for dryness just for Farnum Hill. Only their dooryard stuff seems to stray.

10/13/13: @Jimmy43s. Vibrant, clear, 14k gold body. Smells of dry apple & pears. Apricots & chardonnay. Maybe a bit stuffy & sulfurish. Taste is tannic, sharp, & sourish with unripened fruit. Mildly tart. Iron-y. Woody. Big acid. Mellow, but apparent alcohol. Drying. Refreshing. 4.0
