COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pale gold, light, bubbly, with a stroke of sweetness along with the tart, bitter, and fruity elements that good hard cider offers. A clean, light "quaffing" cider, but don't put it away it too fast! Alcohol content 6.5% by volume. Available in 750 ml bottle with crown cap or 5-gallon keg. Our Farmhouse recalls the refreshing, low-alcohol "ciderkins" or "small ciders" of centuries past. Cooling in summer, warming in winter, and companionable with most foods.

A nice cider. Definitely on the drier side. Fairly tart, with light apple skin tannins. Nothing spectacular, but pretty drinkable.

Courtesy of emerica56, thanks buddy. Pours a pale yellow color with a small fizzy white head. Nose is mild, tart fruits, apple, pear, and salt. Initial taste is tart with apples dominating. Bitterness comes in the mid palate with a touch of salt. Finishing with a good tart balance and mildly dry. Overall it was pleasing and crisp, cant complain too much.

Pours a yellow color with a head that fades as quick as the pour. The nose is very weak with saome hints of pear and apple with a tart finish. The initial flavor is very tart with pear and apple sweetness and it seems to be well balanced. There is a lot of carbonation in each sip, but the finish is so acidic. The increased acidity almost makes it un palatable but the sweetness balances it out.

Pours an ultra-pale sparkling colour with a minimal head that fizzles to a ring quickly. The nose has lambic-like notes and is percievably sugary. Muted notes of pear accompany the obvious tart apples. The flavour is sugary, slightly tart, and salty like a Berliner Weise. Notes of acetic acid appear mid-palate and the finish is dry, salty and spicy. The palate is sharp and dry with a mild warming in the finish.

[750ml bottle] Crystal clear pale gold color, with some tiny white bubbles. Interesting aroma-- sweet/tart apples, some slight musty character. Flavors are clean, crisp. Some slight wild element to the finish. Very dry. Drinks very easily, with no evidence of the alcohol content. Mild carbonation, just enough. Overall, this is quite good.

Cold 750ml bottle: Pours a clear straw yellow color with bubbles constantly rising from the bottom. Aroma is of light apples. Taste is of light apples. Watery texture, effervescent and dry. Not sweet, but lightly tart.

UPDATED: JAN 23, 2010 750 ml bottle. Clear, straw coloured cider, with a white and fast fading head. Malic tartness, fresh appley aroma with some apple skin tannins evident. Lightly musty. Flavour is quite a bit sweeter than their other stuff, some light tannins and a clean appley flavour. A hint of wildness in back as it warms up. A simple cider, but it’s not a bad one.

UPDATED: JAN 13, 2007 750ML bottle: Clear yellow color, apple aroma, clean crisp taste, not very sweet like some ciders, but ends very tart.

A little bit deeper gold than the others. Pleasant flowery aroma. Light-footed, moderate carbonation, dry and lightly tart finish. Nothing spectacular, but drinkable nonetheless.

Had this on tap at the Portsmouth Brewery. Clear and very pale, very very dry and with a very sour apple flavor, like Granny Smith. Little nose; flavor becomes almost mouth-puckering on the end. Interesting, but not exactly thirst-quenching; looking at the cidery’s nice website and seeing a few of their handsome bottles on my trip make me wish I liked this more, and hope to try some more of their wares soon.
