(750ml bottle) CW3 gathering in Victoria. Courtesy of Oakes and Joe McPhee. Pours a morning-pee colour. Mildy carbonated. Nice fizziness with a good dry palate. Apple rind and seedy flavours. Nice bitterness throughout. I love this stuff.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a thin white head that diminishes nearly immediately. Soft apple on the nose, a touch of caramel. Medium bodied, a touch empty, but still with a bit of flavor. Caramel apple and a touch of acidity. Tart apple, apple skin tannins. Finishes with some bright acidity and lingering tartness. Nice.

750mL Bottle, poured at CiderDays. Steven’s work usually impresses me, but this was rather middling. A little of this, a little of that, a very averaged bottle in my opinion. Easy to engage, but not much to hold. Clean, solid, and a bit peppery. Fresh, but maybe a nip too sweet.

750 ml bottle. Pours a crystal clear gold with a fizzy white head that quickly dissipates. Pleasant aroma of apple. The flavor is apple and is lightly sweet and tart. Moderate carbonation. Nice solid cider.
3.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 TheGent (514) - , Massachusetts, USA - SEP 12, 2011
a cork caged bottle enjoyed all to myself. Poured into a wine glass. Light lager color clear yellow. faint bubbles showing. The aroma is a light sweet honey apple along with volcanic rock and grass. flavor is a little sweet followed by some well balanced tanins. great sharp tiny bubble texture. and yes a semi dry finish. very good cider. Could drink two bottles.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 oteyj (1896) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 25, 2011
Clear golden pour with a thin white head. Lots of carbonation arising from the body. The nose holds over ripened apples, apple skins, floral pear, and champagne like fruitiness. The flavor holds super dry apple flesh, clover honey, grapes, and grassy perfume like florals. Light body with ample caressing carbonation and a dry finish.

Bottle at Farmhouse in Burlington. Clear golden pour with minimal head. So much better than most of the ciders out there; the apple is certainly there, but there’s a wonderful dry aspect of wood and even a bit of bread in there. Delightful.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 canary dog (525) - Rutland, Vermont, USA - JUN 12, 2011
I guess I’m not a fan of this type of authentic cider. I prefer American cider. This stuff reminded me of the Cantillon Bruocsella 1900, which I find to be one of the worst "beers" I’ve ever had. Tastes more like a thin and acidic champagne than it does a crisp and mellow cider; although I did enjoy this more than the Cantillon. Also has a sharp and almost bitter dry finish.

Draft. First cider to rate. Puckering tart, crisp and full of apple. Not too sweet which i like.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 thedm (4126) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - JUL 10, 2010
This corked and caged bottled cider from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of frothy clear colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a very softly carbonated transparent dark yellow colored body and a oily lacing. The mild aroma was of golden apples. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of golden apple. A decent one that I would consider buying again.

(750ml bottle) Pours a clear pale yellow body. Aroma of apple, earth, butter, band-aid, and barnyard. Flavor of apple, earth, and funky with a dry finish. Excellent.
