2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Vladivostok (156) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - APR 1, 2013
Pale amber coloured beer mostly sold in bottles. Thin with a very slightly sulphorous flavour. Basically a throwback to the awful English ales of the 1970s (Worthington ’E’ anyone?) and any recommendation is purely to twang the nostalgia cells for those of a certain age. Later tried some draught under nitrogen and that was near as hell tasteless.
Not a mild whatever the brewery say.

Orange i färgen vitt skum. Doftar karamellmalt, gräs, deg och jord. Smakar mycket malt, jord, bittert, ok balans.

Bottle courtesy of Benzai, thank you sir! Clear deep golden color, medium beige head with good retention and solid lacing. Araoma of biscuit and malt. Taste is bitter pepper and straw. Not bad.

33cl can @ home shared with Travlr. Clear orange, lightly golden color, small white head that diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma and taste only have malts, biscuits and wort. Uninteresting pale lager, but it could have been worse.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Thomasalias (259) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JAN 7, 2013
0,25l bottle as gift from Malta. Clear, deep golden, almost amber color, medium, white head. Malty odor. Classic malty aroma with some extra hop flavour, grassy, earthy. It has an interesting bitter taste. Not bad. Light body, slick texture, average carbonation, nothing special. It’s an ale, and it makes it a little bit different from classic lagers. More delicious and better, but nothing else.

0,3 Al can, bought in Malta. Aroma is pleasant, week malt. Very bitter in the middle and something else there too. Something Ale like, cause I don’t drink this kind of beers, don’t know how to describe what I feel. Carbs are week.

25cl bottle at the Grandmasters, Valletta. Pours deep golden with a white head. Malty aroma with some hops and something strange. Surprisingly flavourful and medium to light body. Quite pleasant and better than the usual stufff. A bit harsh bitterness in the finish. Not bad, clearly one of the best local beers we tried on Malta. (2012-09-23)
