2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. Black color with a thick foamy brown head. A musty lager-like aroma. In a blind tasting I might not know this was a stout. Semi-sweet, grainy, dusty, and with only a light touch of chocolate and caramel.

2.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
The light brown 330 ml bottle was labeled 3.8% alcohol. It poured an opaque black with a moderate tan head. Absolutely no aroma but a medium body. Full mouthfeel. Rich, dark malt flavors mellowed by the lactose.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
I would take this over any of the macro stouts, for sure. Pretty decent for such a low abv. Appearance is the best part though. Black as hell with a small brown head that quickly dissipates. Slightly sweet aroma, with faint roastiness, and lactose. taste is rather unimpressive, just there, dark malts, slightly sweet aftertaste. I will agree on a mineral water aspect as well. Lactose is seen in a pretty decent body with a good strong carnbonation. Feels nice, looks nice, just not much on the flavor side of things. But a beer from Malta, thats nice.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This is a rather uneventful beer, but I like the way it looks, a black body with a tall light brown head. The aroma is woody with some dark caramel. The body is thin and slightly chalky. It tastes of a smokey wood and stale caramel with a slight mineral water flavor building up in the finish. My initial feeling is that Malta imports a lot of beer.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pour is a jet black with a small tan head. Aroma is smoky and woody. Flavor is not so much. Some light caramel and some nuts show up. Nothing really great but it was not pricy and another country rated.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Poured a dark brown color with a smaller sized borwn head. Aromas of roasted malts, chocolate, and light caramel. Tastes of roasted / burnt malts, chocolate, caramel, and had a coffee bitter finish. With the name, I was expecting more of a Lacto presence.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottled, 3.8%. Poured a clear, deep garnet with a moderate cap of caramel head.. left some lacing behind. Milky, lightly-roasted sweetness in the aroma.. really, really sweet. Flavor was of milky, chalky, lightly-roasted chocolate and molasses sweetness... the sweet factor really piled on as this warmed up. Lighter-bodied. Not bad, but not one I could drink much of.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
dark brown color and "root beer red" at the edges. the head even has a ruddy tinge, although it’s mostly a burnt sienna color. thick foamy but goes quickly. aroma is sweet roasted malt and a little pumpernickel. flavor is weak and a bit watery, but roasted caramel malt and raw hazelnuts. tingly carbonatoin, and dryish finish. club soda and mild hop bitterness in the finish. crazy concept of having a stout below 4%!
