Why advertise the fact that you added fake colour? Foreign concept to me, but then I’ve never been to Malta. So indeed the colour is black with some caramel around edges. Pours basically flat with no head. There’s some lactose here. A little sour on aftertaste. Palate pretty empty. Bottle from Champane’s.

Pours an opaque black with tan head one finger that quickly dissipates. leaving small to moderate lacing. Aroma of strong caramel, roasted malt. Hint of herbal hops. Very sweet. Very thin with minimum to moderate carbonation Long sweet finish. This is disappointing, I hate to say.

Dark brown/black color; Light to medium creamy body; Aroma of toasted caramel malt, chocolate, & a hint of hops; Flavor of roasted sweet malt, caramel/syrup, chocolate, and some dark fruit; Finish is dry and slightly tart; Overall, a bit thin - but interesting.

Pours a clear, reddish dark brown with a 2 finger, soapy tan head. Aroma is lots of caramel, apple, an odd acidity, white grape juice and light nutty, toasty and roasty notes. Flavor is caramel apple up front, roasted nuts, cereal grain, grapey-fruity notes and an odd, light acidity. Light, creamy to oily body with a light, blanketing and soft carbonation. Not bad overall, definitely an odd one, as much like a bitter with lactose as a stout.

Weird beer. Bottle. Pours almost black with a thin tan head. Aroma is sweet caramel, some light malt. Flavor is sweet, lightly roasted malt, lots of caramel, light toffee, slightly tart. Very sweet; low bitterness. Thin mouthfeel yet creamy.

Bottle from a kiosk in Rabat, Malta. Pours very dark brown, almost black, with a brown head. Lightly roasted malt aroma with fruits and hints of sour milk. Sweet and mildly roasty with hints of bitterness in the finish. Ok, and easy to drink. Far from the worst beer from Malta. (2012-09-24)

Tasted from a 11.2oz brown bottle into a Willybecher glass. It poured an opaque black color, tinted red at the edges, with sudsy brown foam and lace. Aromas of sweet malt, caramelized brown sugar, roasted barley, chocolate milk, raisin bread. Smooth and creamy flavor, fruity, dark malt sweetness with extremely low hops balance. Light body and carbonation, thin mouthfeel, low gravity. Overall, weird and slightly watery, but nonetheless tasty and interesting. Reminded me a little of kvass.

pours black, with a rough, dark, tan head... Extremely large bubbles...very different looking. Scent is slight oatmeal...milk... Taste is chocolate milk and cream... Incredibly light...the milk really comes through in taste and texture. This would be a great breakfast beer, or "hair of the dog" remedy. Very light and weak....but, I liked it ..a lot.. nice little beer.

Bottle. Sour chocolate malt aroma. Black brown with a small tan head. Sour lactic, chocolate, and slightly charred toast flavor with a light seaweedy aftertaste. Thin flat mouth feel.
