330mL. Pour is very strange- a deep caramel coffee pour with half and half real head and half just large, worthless bubbles. Dissipates quickly to a medley of soapy bubbles. No real head formation and no lace. Looks like opaque in the glass. Nose is strange- like sweet seedy strawberry along with volatile notes of seaweed and iodine. As it warms, characters of rotted vegetables and asparagus. Taste is watery and metallic- almost superlative metal taste like straight rusted metal and blood iron. Turns out to be colored artificially which is nasty. Very poor. Actively gross.

Bottled. GBBF. A black coloured beer with a slightly frothy coffee head. The aroma is like red candy licquorice: very sweet and attempting to be grown up. The taste is very sweet and lactic. More red licquorice. Although the beer is a bit dumbed down and over sweet, it is quite satisfying and nice enough to drink

11.2 oz brown bottle. It pours a deep blackish brown with a thick and creamy tan head that recedes with a bit of nice lacing. The smell is interesting, a bit of permanent marker, chocolate, and sugar. The flavor is light and sweet, there is a lot of metallic flavor, mostly milky milk chocolate, it is a bit buttery. It is okay, easy to pound and get over with. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 08-12-2010 03:26:01

Bottle. Black with a beige head. Aromas are sweet coffee with lactose. Also has mollasses and cream. Has earthy sweet roast root vegetable notes. Flavours are sweet and sugary roast malts with chocolate and powdered milk. Has some berry fruit with sweet, sticky mollasses. Quite dry on the finish. Extremely tasty for its strength.

Bottle. Smoked cheddar cheese aroma. Dark black-brown color with small film of a head. Cream cheese/unsweetened yogurt and toasted bread flavor. Fairly light body. An interesting unique beer for number 1500.

Bottle from the Supermarket in Sliema, Malta. It pours near black with a decent tan head. The nose is roasty, milk chocolate, coffee and chewy caramel. The taste is smooth, roasted malt, coffee grounds, toast, very light lactose, mild bitterness and a touch of acidity with a dry finish. Light+ body and moderate carbonation. Not a whole lot of depth to it, but the balance works pretty well.

Bottle @ Winking Lizard in Cleveland. Black body, small foamy brown head. Strange muddle aroma, lactose, sweet malt. Sweet flavour of malt, lactose, and obvious caramel. Average palate seems to have added body from the lactose. Meh, not awful but I would not rush to have a second one.

250 ml bottle. From Malta. HHOK blind tasting. Thanks Jukka.
Black colour with small to average tan head. Lots of chocolate, some sour lactose and hints of fruits in aroma. Mild hops, burned malt and lactose sourness in flavour. Watery and thin.

I loved this stuff! Bottle marked 3.8%. Pours pretty thick, with a rocky, light brown head covering a deep mahogonay body. Pretty good lacing left by the head. Aroma of milk, malt, skunk, grass, bread, and caramel. taste is smooth and really a lot like a thick milk or whipping cream taste at the finish. A bit dry on the mouth throughout, but nice levels of carbonation. Lots of flavor for such a low ABV, a great little beer that is vastly underated.

Bottle sample at a tasting. Thanks mom for bringing this from Malta! Black with a medium brown head. Aroma of milk-chocolate, some coffee, roast, light creamy notes and a bit of dark fruits. Sweet flavor with some fruits, chocolate, light acidic notes and a bit of yeast. Light to medium-bodied. Too thin. Aroma is promising but the flavor doesn’t deliver.
