Nearly black with a tan head that has a tinge of red. Light, sweet aroma that has notes of chocolate and milk. Somewhat weak palate. Smooth and sweet all the way through. No bitterness at all. Easy to drink, but nothing special.

Bottle brought back from Malta by Cecile. Pours a deep dark brown with a good sized tan colour head, dimishing to little more than a ring around the edge of the glass. Aroma of sweet malt, prune and raisins. Heavily sweet, with a light sourness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation.

Aromat: z butelki czuć nawet suszoną śliwkę i słody palone. Piana beżowa, o średniej wielkości bąbelkach, szybko znikająca. Barwa: ciemna, bardzo głęboki rubin. Smak: laktoza niewyczuwalna. Trochę nut karmelowych. Odczucie: tekstura niska, nasycenie niskie.

Butelka 0.25L
Odczucie: Wodniste, faktura wodnisto/metaliczna, wysycenie niskie.
Całość: Kiepskie w smaku, delikatny ale dość ciekawy aromat.

12 oz. bottle picked up locally and consumed at home. Pours dark brown to black with a medium sized beige head that disappears quickly. The aroma had roasted malt, some sweetness, cream, a splash of cocoa and coffee, with some metallic character. The flavor is much of the same, light roast, light cocoa, light coffee, some creamy sweetness with metallic character throughout. Thin and watery. Pass.

Bottle from a Sliema supermarket. Poured a clear dark brown with a broken light tan head. The aroma is burnt roasted malt, liqourice. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a light watery malt liqourice bitter, very light caramel palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation. Not what I expected at all. A "sweet milk stout"? It was way too light, way too bitter and lacked flavour. The lingering bitter aftertaste was not all that pleasant either.

Bottle from the Supermarket in Sliema, Malta. It pours near black with a decent tan head. The nose is roasty, milk chocolate, coffee and chewy caramel. The taste is smooth, roasted malt, coffee grounds, toast, very light lactose, mild bitterness and a touch of acidity with a dry finish. Light+ body and moderate carbonation. Not a whole lot of depth to it, but the balance works pretty well.

Well-known old-fashioned milk stout with milk sugar added. Yellow beige, dense foam, colour near black. Gentle aroma of milk powder, chocolate, cream, coffee beans, roasted grains, raisins, caramel. Sweetish taste with very creamy, not to say ’milky’ mouthfeel, caramel smoothness, soft finish with only very light roasted bitterness, as is custom for a sweet stout. I know not everyone likes this waning style, but this is a good example of it.
