2.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 BBB63 (5039) - La Porte, USA - OCT 22, 2007
Bottle and served in my Expedition snifter: Pours a deep brown, nearly opaque with a short beige head and okay lace. The aroma has notes of chocolate, pumpernickel bread, walnut, fig and prune esters, some molasses esters and a hint of herbal hop vapours.
The taste is surprisingly fruity sweet and notes of under fermented sugars. There is some lactic notes but not as nearly twangy as expected. In the end this is a hodgepodge of flavors that never seem to meld together. The mouth feel is equally disappointing, thin and carbonated. As many as already stated, starts nice with the nose but in the end it fails to deliver much stoutie goodness... pass.
2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 Ryan82SM (841) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - MAY 12, 2012
Aroma of red grape, light roastiness and chocolate. Appearance is black with mocha head. Flavor has some fruit, some chocolate but is overall very odd. Palate is creamy. Strange and unpleasant.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 rondphoto (621) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - APR 30, 2012
Opaque black with a light brown head and light spotty lace. The taste begins like a typical malty stout, but makes a bad turn into a chalky overly sweet mess. Big flavor, not at all appealing.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 ccex (255) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 5, 2012
This is the worst stout I’ve ever tried, and I usually enjoy this style. I think its popularity is mostly due to folks like us trying to add a rating from another obscure country. (I admit to trying a boring lager only because it was from Kenya, but it wasn’t as bad as this). 11.2 oz bottle pours an opague dark brown/black with a small tan head but good lacing. Aroma is of sour milk, malts, caramel and artificial sweetener. Texture and ABV are too thin for a stout. Not much carbonation either. It got better as it warmed up, but I won’t try this one again.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 wlajwl (1807) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - DEC 14, 2011
Malty/gritty, chocolate and earthy in aroma. The flavor is sweet/sour with a bit of funk. The maltiness is decent but the off-flavor makes it not as good as it could be.

11.2 ounce bottle. Pours almost black with a small tan head. Aroma of malt, coffee and chocolate. Taste is chocolate, malt, coffee and cream. Thin and too sweet.

Bottle. Very dark/black pour with a thin brown head. Aroma is like artificial sweetener. Thin palate, taste also seems contrived - slight fruit, slight sweetness.

Never heard of Malta, but a new rating from a new country.
Black pour with a mild sweet and roasted malt aroma. Flavor was thin, watery, some dark fruit, caramel and chocolate. Way too thin for a stout.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Codythegreat (149) - Carrollton, Georgia, USA - SEP 16, 2011
A pretty good stout. Poured a dark black with a tan head that dissapated quickly. Smelled like milk and a little bit of cocoa. Drank this out of a shaker

Pours deep brown/black with a medium mocha head...decent lacing. Smells faintly of dark fruit...fig...hints at cocoa...smells a bit like cardboard. Flavor has hints of caramel and chocolate but is very bland. Mouthfeel is slightly watery with a roasty coffee finish.
