Bottle 330ml. Dark brown with high beige head. Coffee aroma, a bit spicy. Bitter coffee flavor, light caramel sweet. Moderate carbonation. Light to medium body. Bitter-sour coffee aftertaste. Unfortunately the beer is almost out of date.

Bottle, big bubbly off white head with some lacing, opaque dark brown colour, aroma of dark chocolate and cocoa with just a smokey hint, flavour of dark chocolate and charred wood with some coffee and barnyard, extremely dry and a light body. Fair and drinkable porter.

Dark murky brown with an off-white head. Aroma roasty, with notes of ash and chalk, and espresso once the beer had a chance to warm up and open. Taste of roast, bitter chocolate, and espresso. Light to medium body, somewhat sweet palate with caramel notes. Pretty decent English porter.

Draught at the brewpub. Slightly hazy reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, a bit of coffee, a bit of chocolate, nutty notes and a bit of fruitiness and yeast. Bittersweet flavor, rather roasty, with coffee, a bit of chocolate, light fruitiness and mild herbal bitterness. Medium-bodied. Decent.

UPDATED: MAY 8, 2014 Bottle. Hazy brown with a big beige frothy head. Faint roasted malts and black coffee aroma, some oxidized notes. Sweetish, roasty and dark chocolate tones, some ash, slightly sour, a bit rough bitterness, short finish, light bodied.
