Rich orange, no head. Not much aroma; sweet malts I guess. Quite an alcoholic kick, but a big malty body. A touch of mustard. Overall, not too boozy, but definitely strong. Pretty estery - I would say this falls easily into the European Strong Lager category, rather than Doppelbock. Finish is quite hoppy. Ober (1165), Bommelerwaard, Netherlands Dec 18, 2008 A clear dark amber colored beer, with a small beige head. The aroma of caramel, fruits and alcohol. The taste is caramel sweet, with fruits and some bitter. The aftertaste is alcohol warm with a bitter flavor, which gets stronger. mjs (1446), Helsinki, Finland Nov 28, 2008 (Bottle at One Pint Pub, Helsinki, on 2008-11-10) Pale amber. Clear. Small quickly disappearing white head. Malts and some alcohol in nose. Full bodied palate with little carbonation. Malts, vegetables, bitterness, sweetness and salty liquorice in taste. Bitter and malty aftertaste. Lubiere (4463), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Sep 9, 2008 An orangey golden bock with a thin off white head. Solvent like mlat aroma with light banana and cloves.
