As you would expect this is a gold coloured pils with a pleasant malty flavour and a dryish aftertaste. A well balanced and excellent example of this style.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 eczematic (1304) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - OCT 15, 2002
Being in the town of ridiculously over-the-top beers made according to arcane and bizarre traditions, I didn’t expect to find a really good pilsener. But this is just a beautiful, soft, round, honeyish, then herbally bitter pils that might as well have come from the czech republic, if not for the green tinge in the colour that good german pilseners have.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 RAUCHFEST (122) - PROSPECT PARK, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 16, 2002
nice pils for the town of bamberg started the night out here and staggered across the street to spezial rauch brewery. any way this pils is on the dry side and a little hoppy and thin bodied but quite good for a inexpensive beer
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 omhper (17561) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - APR 4, 2002
Golden coloured. Malty but dry. Bitter. A true to style very traditional German style pilsener.
