1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Oakes (10935) - Savusavu, FIJI ISLANDS - JUL 1, 2009
Light dull copper. Has a bland butter/caramel aroma. Light caramel taste, a bit sweet in the finish. Not really all that worthwhile to begin with and the diacetyl doesn’t help.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Beershine (5173) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - JUN 21, 2009
Draft at brewery. Coppery-gold with thick, lasting white head. Sweet, slightly metallic aroma has a hint of diacetyl. The slick mouthfeel also signals diacetyl, which I taste too but is in controlled portions. Actually the beer grows on me. Hop character comes out as it warms.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 alebrewer (140) - Mentor, Ohio, USA - AUG 27, 2008
Draught at brewery.
A very nice helles from Fässla. Tried a small glass first so I could taste many and ended up going back to this one for a larger serving. It was clearly their best beer and a very well made helles at that.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 rickgordon (3815) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 11, 2008
On draught at the brewpub.
Golden colour with low head. Very soli beer with ultra clean aroma and flavour. Solid maltiness and a noticable hop backup. Soft mouthfeel with low Co2.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 DSG (3926) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - AUG 9, 2008
(6/31/08) Draught at the brewpub in Bamberg. Clear deep golden. Aroma of some malt, hints of hops and some vegetal notes. Sweetish malty flavor with some light bready notes and a drier finish. Medium-bodied.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 imdownthepub (8470) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 12, 2008
On tap at Fassla, Bamberg. Yellow gold with white head. Strong vanilla, buttery flavours dominated this beer, carbonated and tinny, quite a mess really, certainly disappointing in this wonderful brewpub.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 3fourths (6932) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUN 5, 2008
UPDATED: JUN 7, 2008 Draft at the brewery in Bamberg. Clear proper yellow color. Nice smoothness with a rich, full body, and also crisp and light, with nearly zero defects noticed. Pure helles, light noble hops (barely noticeable), malt-forward, smooth, full body, flavorful and rich overall. Really well made.
