Draught at brewery.
A very nice helles from Fässla. Tried a small glass first so I could taste many and ended up going back to this one for a larger serving. It was clearly their best beer and a very well made helles at that.

Golden colour with low head. Very soli beer with ultra clean aroma and flavour. Solid maltiness and a noticable hop backup. Soft mouthfeel with low Co2.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
On tap at Fassla, Bamberg. Yellow gold with white head. Strong vanilla, buttery flavours dominated this beer, carbonated and tinny, quite a mess really, certainly disappointing in this wonderful brewpub.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Golden coloured with a tight white head that left plenty of lacing down the glass. Aroma of sweetish malt with some grassy hops. Easy drinking with a hint of caramel and more hops, ending in a decent bitter finish. A good lager.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Fässla in Bamberg. Warm golden with a very lasting head. The aroma has notes of malt, straw and grass. The flavour is full, smooth with a lot of nice caramel and a slightly dry citrus and a slightly bitter finish. It’s very charming.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle: Pours a transparent light bronze golden with an airy white head. Earthy noble hoppy aroma has a subtle hint of sweet pale malt and grain. Body starts about average for the style with a touch of lightly sweet malt and a grassy hoppy bittering balance. Pretty drinkable.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A Beutiful deep golden beer with a small white head that disappears quickly. The aroma is very hooppy for the style with herbal notes but also bready and malty.
The flavour has a very good maltiness, with the right amount of hops to balance it well. Dry, medium body and highly drinkable. A very well made lager.
