(6/31/08) Draught at the brewpub in Bamberg. Clear deep golden. Aroma of some malt, hints of hops and some vegetal notes. Sweetish malty flavor with some light bready notes and a drier finish. Medium-bodied.

imdownthepub (10134) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 12, 2008
On tap at Fassla, Bamberg. Yellow gold with white head. Strong vanilla, buttery flavours dominated this beer, carbonated and tinny, quite a mess really, certainly disappointing in this wonderful brewpub.

Bottle. Golden coloured with a tight white head that left plenty of lacing down the glass. Aroma of sweetish malt with some grassy hops. Easy drinking with a hint of caramel and more hops, ending in a decent bitter finish. A good lager.

Maria (10136) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAY 7, 2008
On tap at Fässla in Bamberg. Warm golden with a very lasting head. The aroma has notes of malt, straw and grass. The flavour is full, smooth with a lot of nice caramel and a slightly dry citrus and a slightly bitter finish. It’s very charming.

Bottle: Pours a transparent light bronze golden with an airy white head. Earthy noble hoppy aroma has a subtle hint of sweet pale malt and grain. Body starts about average for the style with a touch of lightly sweet malt and a grassy hoppy bittering balance. Pretty drinkable.

A Beutiful deep golden beer with a small white head that disappears quickly. The aroma is very hooppy for the style with herbal notes but also bready and malty. The flavour has a very good maltiness, with the right amount of hops to balance it well. Dry, medium body and highly drinkable. A very well made lager.

A Mes rate: Bottle at Quinns. A pretty decent helles to be honest. Golden body with a reasonable white head. Grassy hop aroma with undertones of the expected German grain. Dry hoppy flavour with some mild maltiness and fruity notes. Medium bitter finish. Not bad.

500ml bottle, Quinns, 12th August 2007. Pours amber with little carbonation. Strong malty aroma but the flavour is very average. The palate is smooth. This is good, but nothing special.

Yellow colored, big white head. Rich fruity, lemony, let’s say well-handmade aroma. Medium bodied. Flavor is richer with fruits, flowers and lemon, aftertaste is well hopped, some cardboard comes up also, this makes ending drier. Nice lager.
