UPDATED: MAR 28, 2012 Half litre bottle, medium head. Bronze colour, clear. Smelled hints of banana, also some hops. Nice balanced malty taste with hints of fruit. Overall a very well made lager.

Beer No. 105 on my tour through Austria, Germany and Denmark.
Draught at the brewpub. Golden coloured, small white head, light grainy nose. Moderate malty, grainy and light caramel with mild hoppy finish. Also some unpleasant metallic hint near the end.

On tap at Fässla brewpub, Bamberg. Golden color with huge white head. Aroma of grain,malt some fruitiness. Taste, fruity, with sweet malt and bitter hops hints. Bitter finish. Drinkable.

My Bottom Line :
Honeyed malts are pricked by herbal hops and bubbles in this well-rounded, faultless Helles.
Further Personal Perceptions :
-A veil of foam skirts the dark golden (darker than their Pils, for example).
-Malts tend to offer more flavor in this one.
-Drinkability is quite high due to leanness and soft flavor intensity.
-The mouthfeel is well polished. This feels professional.
