0.5l bottle bought in Bavaria, pours deep chestnut brown with a fast-settling beige head and aromas of demerara, a hint of banana and bubblegum, and a little yeasty dough. A bit gassy, with wood and a little toast, plus maybe some nuts and a little clove on the palate. Slight roastiness on the finish, along with a faint bitterness.

Pours a dark hazy brown color. Aromas of bread, malt, and some fruit. Flavor has a touch of sweet malt and clove, I think. Overall, not to bad.

Bottle from brewery. Dark brown color with medium white head. Caramel, yeast, some spices in aroma. Taste is very sweet, with caramel, coffee notes. Bittersweet finish. There are better Dunkelweizens, but overall not bad.

A good dunkelweizen. It is a bit sweet and under carbonated, but other than that a solid brew.

Bottle. Deep copper colour, with an off-white head. Cloves, bubblegum and yeast in the aroma. Full bodied, with a grainy mouth feel, flavours of caramel and spice and a dryish finish. Good.

Bottle. Brownish black beer with a strong frothy head. The aroma is quite thinly malty with a hint of smokiness, and the flavour is yeasty, smokey and also thinly malty. Overall a fairly average dark wheat beer.

Bottle, Beer of Europe. Dark ruby appearance, with an off-white bubbly head. Wheat and cloves in the aroma and taste, with some butterscotch in the aftertaste. Some bitterness in the mouthfeel, plenty of carbonation and a medium body.
