At the brewery. Fairly standard hefe. Aroma is banana, clove , but it has a weird sort of sour smell. The flavor also. The appearance is hazy yellow. Finish is light spic e, sour banana. Weird, a bit off, ok overall.

Look; nice off white head and hazy light yellow golden body. Aroma; dusty malts, strawy hops, citric notes, wheat bread, coriander and meadow notes. Taste; wheat bread, malts, dusty hops, lemon notes, some clove and coriander. Finishes with bread and malts and some lemon. Feels easy and fresh. [50cl brown bottle 5.0%abv BB08-12-2015 T@Ferie2015]

Into it’s own Weissbier glass late into a Friday evening. Opaque, cloudy, yellow gold with a well-supplied, huge and surging rocky white head that gripped to the glass to leave some very intricate lacing. Big, sweet and ripe bananas on the nose with softer showings of spicy phenols, dusty wheat and bubblegum. Lovely aroma that just kept lifting. In the mouth generous portions of banana and bubble gum cover and smother the palate. Underneath is some soft notes of grainy, wheat malt, vanilla and tangy, ripe lemons. Big presence of clove-like phenols in back where it dries out somewhat and shows a sour, spicy edge on the swallow. Finish is quite dry, a little tangy and fruity, and quite crisp as it drops off quickly. This literally dances on the palate - well charged in carbonation, light in body but big and juicy in flavour. It lasts well remaining clean and crisp for the length without becoming gammy or pasty, which gives it extra points. I’d have to say this is one of the best Hefeweizens that I’ve tasted. Outstandingly balanced between esters and phenols, exciting to drink and quaffable to boot. This was tasty stuff.

Bottle. Thanks to Jorgen Fogh Rasmussen. Unclear golden colour with a nice white frothy head. Sweet aroma with notes of bread, yeast and hints of banana. Nice flavour of wheat, yeast and hints banana cloves and coriander. A very decent german wheat.

Bottle. Hazy orange with lasting white head. Fruity nose - little spice. Sweetish body with some malty flavours and a bit of herby hop towards the end which gives a nice finish to the beer.

Test vom 3.12.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,9,10,10,10,10 - 9,75

Hazy. Ordinary wheat. A bit similat to some of the mass produced wheat beers from Erdinger and Franziskaner.
