Dark pour with a thin beige head. Aroma is toasted malts, bisquits, caramel, and roast . Flavor is mostly the same.

Bamberg jolly day 2 25/01/2014. Bottle shared on train. Clear amber colour with a small head. Spicy aroma, silage, sweet worty grains. Flavour is nutty grains and some brown unrefined sugars. Spicy grassy hop. Some off flavours. Old cheesey hops. Little caramel. terrible.

Bamberg Bash Day 2. Train bottle swig. Light haze on this deep amber beer, big off white head. Smooth and dry palate. Light fine carbonation. Smooth malt with a little burned toffee. Light dried fruits and mild dry finish. Not bad.

Appearance: Amber colour with a small white head.
Aroma: Sweet malt, wheat, fruit.
Body: Medium body and carbonation.
Flavour: Sweet malt, wheat, caramel, fruit, a bit of alcohol.

Day 2 of the post Xmas Bamberg Jolly, bottle from Fassla shared on the S1 train to Buttenheim, 25/01/14. Lightly hazed copper amber with a moderate off white covering. Nose is tangy fruit, bitter notes, brown sugar. Taste comprises toffee, earthy notes, nutty, caramel fudge. Medium bodied, fine carbonation. Ok Dunkels.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit geringer aber schönen Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht röstmalzig, Karamell, minimal würzig. Geschmack angenehm röstmalzig, würzig, gering schokoladig.

Bottle from the brewery. Clear amber beer with a decent beige head. Sourish salty aroma, bready, hop, caramel. Malty caramel flavor, grassy, grainy, cereal, bready, hay notes. Flavor is a lot better than the aroma.

2010. The head is medium, the body brown. it smells darkmalty. sweet. The taste is darkmalty, sweet, less CO2, bit hoppy, good body.

Frag’ mich, was das für ein Typ Bier ist. Schmeckt im Großen und Ganzen nach ’nem Dunkel - aber ist mit 6% schon recht stark..... Im Antrunk ist es etwas säuerlich. Im Hauptteil folgt eine muffig-komische Note, Süffigkeit ist für mich nicht zu erkennen. Im Nachgeschmack ist es erdig-trocken. --> überhaupt nicht mein Fall! Auch schmeckt man, dass es etwas mehr %e hat als ein normales Dunkel! PS: Hab’ aus Verzweifelung dazu ein Hanuta gegessen (was ich sonst bei Bier überhaupt nicht mag) --> passt super gut dazu!!
