3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A nice pleasing brown color to it. This beer has a nice subtle malty sweetness to it that is followed by a mild hop bite to it, that I found quite refreshing on this particular occasion. My beer sodden taste buds thought there was a hint of smokiness to this beer as well.

Malty flavor with licorice and hints of slat and grapes. The aroma is not very outspoken, but the flavor is. Medium to full bodied. A hard hitter with a soft touch.

On tap at Fassla, Bamberg. Chestnut brown with white head. Another malt dominated, sweetish beer but this time with a darker roasted character. Fruity and smooth with hints of caramel. It’s ok.

Pours chestnut in colour with a white head, good clarity Some toffee and mineral notes detected on nose, and also in the mouth, soft mouthfeel. Surprisingly thin for the abv, bitterness at end.
