On tap at Fassla, Bamberg. Chestnut brown with white head. Another malt dominated, sweetish beer but this time with a darker roasted character. Fruity and smooth with hints of caramel. It’s ok.

Pours a deep dark brown. Aromas of roasted malts, smoke, and hints of fruit. Flavors of the roasted malts, some fruit, with a coffee aftertaste.

0.5L bottle @Plan B, shared with larsga, Rune and GrOve. A lightly tanned head over a clear copper colored body. Slight metallic, dusty/papery hops and dry caramelly dark malts in the aroma. Medium sweet and medium full malt body. Caramel tones, and some fine earthy and grassy hops. Dry, bitterish ending. A decent Dunkel.

Cycled into town (Bamberg) from our campsite just outside at Bug 17-06-10 had this on tap at the brewery tap. Pours chestnut in colour with a white head, good clarity Some toffee and mineral notes detected on nose, and also in the mouth, soft mouthfeel. Surprisingly thin for the abv, bitterness at end. A6 A4 T6 P4 Ov12 3.2

Bottle. Nice fresh hoppy aroma. Little bit roasty. Brown foam. hazy brown colour. Medium bitter lightmedium sweetness. Slick nice beer. Average c02. Like it

(bottle) pours a dark, clear copper colour with a frothy white head. aroma of strong herbal hops and sweet spices with a light hint of bread. flavour is the same, with a touch of toasted malt and chocolate. medium body and carbonation.

On tap at In de Wildeman. Darkish amber in colour with a smallish head. Not a huge depth of aroma or flavour, some malty character with a noticeable bitterness.

Bottled, 0.50l. Clear amber brown color with thick tan-like head and lively bubbles. Aroma of malt, caramel, yeast, grassy hops and banana. Taste starts sour grassy, then followed by sweeter (but not much) dandelion syrup, while finished hoppy and relatively rich malty. Medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Interesting name, interesting beer, at least better than common German helles...

Bottle. Dark greenish amber color with a light beige head. Earthy aroma of peat and hops. Earthy taste with yeast. This doesn’t taste like a typical dunkel at all.
