Cask (gravity dispense) at Pigs Ear Beer Festival, December 2008. Not the darkest stout but nice condition. Big chocolate aroma with plenty of deep, roast malt. More of the same of the palate. Dry and nicely clean mouthfeel. Excellent drinking stout although the impact of the port is negligible.

5th December 2008. Dark red brown beer - clear - just. Small suddy head. Smooth stout - more porter like really. A little sweet. The port is subtle and adds a small fruity note. Semi dry bittering finish.
