Cask at Thurrock Beer Festival. dark brown with a tan head. Good chocolatey aroma. Bitter flavours and the finish blends fruit with chocolate. Mild and rewarding.

(Handpump at Fat Cat, Norwich) This was a new one from the Fat Cat brewery so I thought I’d give it a go. Dark Red brown with an off white head. Smell was of dark malt and honey, not particularly strong. Taste was well balanced - a mix of honey and sweet malt. Needless to say not too bitter. A little watery as well. Not great, but certainly ok.
