650 ml bottle. Golden colour with a thin white head. Sweet malty aroma, honey, butterscotch, and a bit of orange citrus. Flavour is quite sweet. There are some light earthy hops, but they are way underdone. Reminds me of the IPA from Lighthouse.

From the bottle: Poured a deep gold (almost amber tinges) with slight white head that fizzed away. Nice teasing aroma. Smells slightly of toasted marshmallow. A bit floral as well in the aroma and the hops are there but they’re not jumping right out in front. Taste is average. Malty start with the hops kicking in half way through. Not very hoppy for and IPA. Though it leaves a faint aftertaste of hops. Not enough to please a serious IPA fan though. Better than average beer but mediocre IPA at best.

Malakin (467) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 13, 2004
UPDATED: AUG 15, 2005 Clear amber, with a sweet aroma, not very hoppy for an IPA. Some nice subtle malt and hop flavours going on but way underhopped for something called an IPA. Almost no bitterness and not even much finishing hops used, not much of an IPA but it’s still pleasant. This is my 2nd rating as I thought there may of been something wrong with the first batch, I guess not.

Not so hoppy, but has a great Hugh Baird malt note.
