Cask at cask. Golden orange with no head. Slight caramel aroma with a hint of hops. Weak taste, not offensive. Flat. Not the best, let’s be honest

Hazy amber beer. Thick frothy head. Rich deep hoppy beer for England! (But doesn’t match US versions for hops and weight!). A little spice in the dry finish. Soft and frothy palate.

fiulijn (10421) - Como, ITALY - APR 14, 2010
Bottle from Pig’s Ear festival in December ’08, anyway the bottle reports bb October ’08
The bottle is a slow gusher; it pours a hazy amber color with huge head, quite solid and persistent. The aroma is a bit malty, hoppy, and with some chemicals, metallic, that can be explained with the extra fermentation. Correct body strength, it has just a metallic caramel flavor, high bitterness and some vegetables. This beer would not have lasted the trip to India...

Bottled. An amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and straw as well as a touch of spices. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and citrusy hops, leading to a dry, bitter, and orangey finish. Thanks fonefan for sharing.

Hops have fallen off. Dark yellow, little haze. Very nice beer, but it’s not an IPA anymore. Little sticky in the finish.

UPDATED: FEB 1, 2009 Poured with a nice head that lasted for the duration of the drink. Felt full in the mouth with a citrus taste that was relfected in the aroma. Alcohol abvious, but not in a bad way. Tasty, with a fairly nice appearence, and a hoppy bite.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of fonefan. Almost clear amber golden with a dense, creamy off-white head that leaves a neat lacework. Fat, citrusy hop aroma. Medium body with sweet fruits and a dry and astringent bitterness. 230808

yngwie (9205) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - SEP 29, 2008
Bottle, shared by Fonefan. A clear, golden beer with a nice, small off-white head. Citrusy hops and some caramel in the aroma. The flavor is sweet, piney and citrusy. Caramel too. Good, but not impressing. Full-bodied, almost astringently bitter. Lasting bitter finish with pine and resin. A surprising English IPA. (080823)
