COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fat Cat Lager is handcrafted in the time-honored Bavarian tradition and is a classic Vienna lager. The amber-colored brew has a subtle aroma and crisp, mildly bitter taste. Fat Cat Lager is made with Brewer’s two-row malt, carapils malt, caramel malt and domestic hops. Fat Cat Lager has a malty, toasty aroma with just a hint of noble hops in a drying finish.

Can courtesy drowland. Pours a clear light orange color that touches in copper. Fizzy white head. Aroma is clay and play-doh, grains, odd smell indeed. Flavor is dry notes, grains, slightly sweet notes and the same strange flavor that I found in the taste. Finish is odd.

Can from Cavie. Light orange pour with a white head. Aroma is a little grain, kinda toast and almost sweet. Taste is creamy, grainy, light sweetness, and a little bitterness in the finish.

Can pours a clear orange/amber with a thick off white head with lacing. Scent is sweet and grainy. Sweet malty lager taste.

From a 12 ounce can, tastes of corn, some malt, little hops, not a favorable aftertaste.

Can. Pours a dark orange amber color with a good sized foamy beige head. Actually produces quite a bit of lacing along the glass. Fair amount of caramel malt in the aroma. Nicely balanced flavor with some hops in the finish. Not too bad overall. I would easily choose this over a lot of canned macros out there.

Tallahassee, Fl - 12 oz can - gift form drowland (Thanks!) Dark amber pour, slight white head. Slightly funky aroma - plenty of corn, a bit of ripening vegetables. Grainy flavor, some molasses, a bit of sweet cake mix. Mouthfeel is thick enough. Actually better than expected.

12oz can sent as an extra thanks to drowland, pours a hazy brown/orange with a thin off white head, aroma and flavor are of grain with touch of caramel, actually not all that terrible.

Love the old school graphics on the can as it’s a real eye catcher. Pours an orange gold color with a modest white creamy head that sticks around. Aroma has a light apply juiciness too it with some light corny notes and some hints of noble hops. Flavor is very sweet with light apples, some floweriness, light toasted caramel malt notes, very light metallic hint late in the tasting. Body is modest but surprisingly modest as I was expecting something super light. Slightly an oily and sugary texture to it with some very fine low carbonation. Overall the flavor is waaaay better than I was expecting and much better than the nose was hinting. Wish the alcohol content was listed on the can cause this could be a pretty good session/cheap beer if I found it around these parts as its sweetness comes more from the light touch of adjuncts instead of a hefty right ear of corn. Thanks to JMerritt for setting one of these aside for me.

5/9/11. 12oz can. Clear brown pour with a small tan head - rather dark for a pale lager. Smells and tastes a bit dark, almost like a dunkel as opposed to a pale lager. Still nothing special, though.

The aroma is malty and almost citrus like with more than a little caramel. The appearance is amber with a large foamy head. The taste is like the aroma with grain like maltiness. The palate is not thick and not thin. Overall a very well crafted beer that defies what you expect from a lager.
