2.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Narnad (1136) - Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA - MAY 18, 2011
Love the old school graphics on the can as it’s a real eye catcher. Pours an orange gold color with a modest white creamy head that sticks around. Aroma has a light apply juiciness too it with some light corny notes and some hints of noble hops. Flavor is very sweet with light apples, some floweriness, light toasted caramel malt notes, very light metallic hint late in the tasting. Body is modest but surprisingly modest as I was expecting something super light. Slightly an oily and sugary texture to it with some very fine low carbonation. Overall the flavor is waaaay better than I was expecting and much better than the nose was hinting. Wish the alcohol content was listed on the can cause this could be a pretty good session/cheap beer if I found it around these parts as its sweetness comes more from the light touch of adjuncts instead of a hefty right ear of corn. Thanks to JMerritt for setting one of these aside for me.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 drowland (3570) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAY 10, 2011
5/9/11. 12oz can. Clear brown pour with a small tan head - rather dark for a pale lager. Smells and tastes a bit dark, almost like a dunkel as opposed to a pale lager. Still nothing special, though.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 nick76 (3461) - Tampa, Florida, USA - APR 30, 2011
The aroma is malty and almost citrus like with more than a little caramel. The appearance is amber with a large foamy head. The taste is like the aroma with grain like maltiness. The palate is not thick and not thin. Overall a very well crafted beer that defies what you expect from a lager.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 garrison (652) - Cin. city, Ohio, USA - APR 7, 2011
Purchased for me by my galpal Nancy from "Jungle Jim’s" - Okee-dokee, this one pours a bronze hued brew with a fast fading white head, Tastewise, it’s pretty much an American BMC typr brew, but the better palate anf malty body sets this one ahead.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 strangaj (245) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - MAR 31, 2011
This beer is exactly as advertised, i.e., just a good beer for a cheap price. An improved option over domestic crap any day...enjoy!
2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 crossovert (2547) - Wisconsin, USA - MAR 14, 2011
12 oz orange can. 5.99 a 12 pack.
It pours a clear orange with a frothy eggshell colored head. The head is fizzy but has some decent retention.
It smells like hoppy dough. That doesn’t really mean it is hoppy, just it smell like if you rolled around some hop leaves in some sweet dough.
The flavor is a bit heartier than your typical adjunct lager, but it is much lighter than a malt liquor, it is like a bastard melding of the two. I wouldn’t go so far as to say it is a vienna lager, maybe it is brewed with vienna malt but i can’t really taste it.

Sweet caramel and molasses. Sticky and thin mouthfeel with punchy carbonation. Memorable packaging, forgettable beer.

Lucent gold, thin white head, medium body, high carbonation.
Aroma: fruity esters, sweet pale malt, hints of vanilla and wood.
Taste: lots of pale malt sweetness, fruity esters, herbal hop bitterness, and some grainy funk.
