12 ounce can from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA, rated 4/29/10. Pours a clear golden color with a thin head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma of grassy hops, caramel and grainy notes. The taste is grassy hops, toasted grain and a slightly metallic note. Thin-medium bodied.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 jgb9348 (3497) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - FEB 16, 2012
Nice deep copper coloured body with a very thin, half a centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of light malt, cereal, caster sugar and a touch of alcohol. Medium-bodied; Chewy, malty flavour with some pungent cardboard, some funky yeast and some deep caramel malt tucked in. Aftertaste shows a slight amount of hops, some alcohol, some grass and herbal notes, but mostly a deep malt flavour that isn’t great nor bad - but I guess that’s good for the style!?! Overall, not a horrible beer, but decen tto sample with the can and all. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Village Market in San Francisco (Ferry Building), California on 15-January-2012 for US$1.49 sampled at home on the opposite coast in Washington on 16-February-2012.

This actually pours a hazy darker amber color with a thick tan head. Aroma smells like hay or straw...like the stuff you throw in a hamster or rabbit cage as bedding. Flavor is malty and follow suit with the aroma. Mouthfeel is light and a bit watery...finish is malty and sweet with a earthy/caramel note.

The cat is where its at nice surprise...not your average American Lager....nice color to it. Taste somewhere between a decent Octoberfest and Anchor Steam. Has a little bite to the taste. Would seek this one out again/

Can. Wow - is this really a pale lager? Very impressive if the style bucket its in is reasonably accurate. Orange pour with a soapy white head. Sweet nose with a hint of caramel, yeast, and bread. Medium mouthfeel, but pretty darn smooth. Mild dark fruit, sweetness, and .... wow, I just can’t believe this is in the same style category as Bud Light.

This seems okay with a pretty flavorful initial taste. Enjoy the sweetness, but I wish there was more bite.
