Yet another beer has joined the Fat Cat line-up: Fat Cat Porter. This dusky beauty clocks in at 5.2%, and has charmed all of the Cat Crew.

Cask, Queen’s Head, Chelmsford. A couple of pints and one half! Off-white lacing; opaque dark colour which reds out at the base, chocolate, smoke, liquorish, cream on aroma, taste is chocolate, cream, liquorish, quite malty, some caramel, great drinkability and great bitterness. Really enjoyed this one. Would like to see more. Edit. Label is porter but abv is 4.9% No peated on label.

Cask, gravity at The Pig ’n’ Falcon, Cambridgeshire. Dark brown. Pleasant slightly sour ash aroma. Sweet leathery taste which makes you think of the seats of a 1950’s Jaguar. Slight bitterness. Lovely porter, easy to drink and enjoy.
