Cask - Fat Cat, Norwich. Very dark brown colour with a thin and sparse off-white head that did leave a nice lacing. Roasted chocolate and malt aromas. Flavours of molasses and coffee with some grapefruit undertones. Perhaps a bit thin in terms of mouthfeel for a stout, but otherwise this is a rather tasty brew.

May 5, 2008 cask at paisley beer fest ’08-pours nearly opaque, classic looking big foam head, nose takes breath away pure butter chocolate and biscuit. taste is cigarette ash. and burnt toast. like an afternoon at a smokers, it is like licking an ashtray i cant say i have drunk a beer that turns my stomach in such a way.

May 4, 2008 Cask at Paisley Beer Festival 2008 ... brown red ... thin malt nose ... thin body but loads of flavour ... rich toasted malts ... some chocolate and coffee character.

May 1, 2008 Cask at paisley beer fest. Alround rating: Roasty, but not overly so, chocolate malts, nicely balanced with a good sweetness. Good stout.

Feb 2, 2008 Cask Conditioned at the Wenlock Arms, 30/1/09. Near black colour with a moderate, off-white head. Aroma of roast malt, dark chocolate. The flavour had a sweet edge, with more chocolate, coffee and a some fruit. Enjoyable.
