3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 MesandSim (7109) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 1, 2008
A Mes rate: Cask at the Pembury Tavern. Darkish gold with a decent white head and hooraaaay some condition. Round of applause for the Pembury... (Sarcastic git.) Nice and hoppy on the nose with the Styrians taking centre stage. Lovely fresh lemon notes too along with just a hint of spruce. The flavour follows on well. Good hoppy stuff all round. So drinkable I’m struggling to rate it in time. Sadly there’s an all too clear soapy note that holds it back from being great and it could do with some extra finishing hops but all round it’s tasty and downable.

36 Pint box thing, Guy’s wedding reception, Swainsthorpe, Norfolk. Oowee, completely lost track of how many I had of this once I was into double figures, but if my memory serves me well enough this kicked ass.
Really nice fragrantly fruity hoppy flavour. A bit on the chewy side doc, but that’s all good man. Was having a blast in the teepee getting mega loose on the dance floor and having a right royal knees up with the people I love.
Bliss.

Cask at paisley beer fest. Alround rating: Pale malts, grassy peppery hints, alc seems present? The least favourable of the fat cat offerings, but still decent.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 sm89walt (1419) - Norwich, Norfolk, ENGLAND - DEC 24, 2007
Cask - Fat Cat, Norwich. Amber in colour with a small, light off-white head. Quite a straightforward and delicate hoppy nose. Its flavours are quite floral and also grassy. A touch thicker on the palate than many of its style that I’ve had recently on cask too. A rather expectable bitter.

Cask (gravity dispense) at Reading Beer Festival, April 2006. A decent enough, if quite straightforward, strongish bitter. Tangy, slightly citric, hops and chewy, but dry, malt in the mix. Amber colour.
