A collaboration between Mitch Steele of Stone Brewing and Matt Cole of Fat Headís, this Rye Saison is brewed with 22% Rye Malt to contribute a spicy dryness to this brew. Complex aromas of bubblegum, pepper and a light fruitiness come from a special yeast blend.

On tap at Fat Heads Pittsburgh. Pours a dark red brown with a thin white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, clove, melon, light spices. Flavor of sweet bready malt, spices, yeast. Perhaps a slight rye presence, but itís slight. More of a Belgian ale than saison. Itís tasty and drinkable though. 7/4/7/4/14 (3.6/5)

Poured on draft at fat heads Pittsburgh. Pours a murky amber color with little head. The aroma is mildly fruity and spicy. The rye comes through pretty strongly. Taste is sweet and spicy. Medium mouthfeel and hefty body. Nice sipper.

Aroma: Bubblegum, caramel malts, and hints of pepper at the edges. Appearance: Cloudy brown with a thin, tan head. Taste: Light-medium creamy sweetness all the way through. Palate: Medium body, creamy texture, flat carbonation, long soft finish. Overall: Itís a good beer, just not at all what I was expecting, so Iím a bit disappointed. Still, itís a nice, creamy beer with a solid flavor.
