Hazy copper color. Fairly bitter hop profile. Some decent malt character in the background but hops predominate.

Bottle. Deep red. Aroma is very strong pine. The taste starts sweet and bitter then finishes with apples, caramel, and fruit juice. The mouthfeel has a very soft gummy bears characteristic, average carb, and lingering alcohol. Really awesome huge version of the style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Clear copper pour with a small head that fades to a nice ring. Aromas are dank pine, caramel apple, bread, and flowers. Tastes like caramel apples and pine mostly. Some light fruit bread too. Light sweetness and moderate bitterness. Fairly dry in the finish. Full body. Pretty solid. An imperial red sipper. Wish it was just a little more smooth.

Hoppy, sweet initial taste. A little too sweet, but it becomes less noticeable quickly. Soft bitterness on the palate that doesn't linger very long. Overall, it's not bad, but I'm not blown away. The 9.4 is doing its trick though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Dark red with a 1 finger off white head. Aroma is mango, earth, B. O. and pink lemonade. Taste follows and adds some caramel and pine. Medium soft mouthfeel and moderate carb. Intense but good.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 3/26/2015. Pours fairly crystal clear deep ruby red color with a 1-2 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, mango, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, caramel, toffee, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/tropical hops and moderate dark malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, mango, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, caramel, toffee, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fair amount of pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, mango, pineapple, peach, lemon/orange peel, pine, caramel, toffee, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/tropical hops and moderate dark/malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a very smooth, moderately creamy, and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is well hidden with only a small warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is an excellent imperial red ale style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/tropical hops and moderate dark malt sweetness; and very smooth to sip on for the big ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Really dark amber, 2 finger tan head. Smells malty with some hints of citrus. Flavor is really sweet, body is thick, hops are piney up front, pink grapefruit in the finish. This isnít bad, but it is really sweet and the hops arenít strong enough to balance it.

Look Ė Medium sized bubbled head. Not too much darker than white. Beer is dark, almost burnt orange. You can see through it, barely. Smell Ė It smells like a dank IPA. There is passion fruit, grapefruit, and a little malt. Taste Ė It is a mellowed out IPA taste. Finishes with the classic bitterness you expect. Feel Ė I like the creamy, smooth feel in the beginning. You donít really lose that feel going down or after it has settled. Overall Ė I was really surprised by this one. I was not expecting the hop flavor, maybe I should have looked at the picture. It is toned down enough to where a hop hater can drink it. Versatile.

Poured from a fresh 2015 bottle into a spiegelau glass. Aroma is of a wonderful hoppy grassy sweetness. Appearance is a clear reddish golden amber with a light tan two finger golden head. Taste is like an excellent double ipa with a very well balanced palate. It drinks and tastes incredibly smooth. We had purchased a 4 pack and after drinking our first bottle went out and purchased two more 4 packs. Love it if you couldnít already tell. Go give this one a try, I donít think you will be disappointed. Cheers!

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass dark clear amber red with a huge beige pillow top head. Aroma is malted hops. Flavor is crazy awesome. Pine trees, sweet malts-some pepper in the finish. You got me at the pillow top head. LOVE!! Then add the smoothness of this brew. Like so much went back and bought 2 more 4 packs. Must have again!!!!

Pours a reddish amber with a thick and sticky foam head. The aroma is very piney with notes of sweet malts. In tasting I noticed crystalized and crisp malts. There is a good balance in flavor and the body of this beverage was done nicely, not too thin but not overly full. The finish has a mild booze dryness that is somewhat masked by the sweet carmel bread malts and the creeping yet defined bitterness that lingers, which overtime loses its bitter intensity. Overall this brew is rather great. It is balanced very well for an imperial style. I recommend giving this a try.
