3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft sample. Poured clear copper color with a large fizzy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate spicy herbal citrus aroma. Medium body with a smooth sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium spice sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: FEB 17, 2011 Experienced on tap in a tulip glass. The beer pours a slightly hazy straw-colored golden hue, with a moderate white head. The nose shows characters of the Chimay yeast strain; fruity esters that are matched with a grainy pilsner note. The palate shows classic Belgian ester notes of the style, and finishes with just a touch of residual pilsner malt character. Some alcohol and yeast-derived flavors seem to peak through and express this last point further. Overall, a nice example of the style, on par with such paradigms as Leffe.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sample at the brewery. Pour was clear light golden color with white head. Aroma was almost identical to the hefe weizen. Mostly banana. Flavors followed as well. The only difference was this was clear and the hefe was cloudy. They must have used the same yeast for both beers.
