Commercial Description:
Honey Blueberry Wheat. Brewed with fresh harvested spring honey stolen from some very angry bees (we have the welts to prove it) and infused with our own special painstakingly handpicked blueberry essence. A light refreshing wheat beer with a nice blueberry aroma, crackery malt flavors with a hint of sweetness and a light tart blueberry finish.

a interesting "tropical" blueberry flavor greets you initially, with graininess and chalky flavor in the end. slightly rough.

Tap @ Fat Head’s. Pours a clear pale yellow, complete with some fresh blueberries churning about, gotta give some points for that gimmick. Very rich fruity blueberry nose, and nothing else makes it past that. Light and fruity, it actually tastes pretty nice till the finish where some cereal grains come out making it not very clean. Light bodied and fizzy with a lingering blueberry finish. Overall not bad really, but it’s just not my bag. Bring the lady friend in for one though!

Enjoyed at the Pittsburgh pub on draft in a nonic glass. The beer pours a straw-colored yellow, with a small but surprisingly long-lasting white head. The aroma is of berries, with a slight hint of biscuity malt. The palate starts out fruity, but than fades into a malt character that accentuates what appears to be perhaps a Maris Otter base, with very little else. The base beer seems to be a cream ale, or perhaps a very neutral pale ale. Hops are not present in any noticeable manner. Overall, not in line with the greatest Belgian varietals, but a nice crowd-pleaser, and good effort at appealing to the masses.

Sample at the brewpub. Clear gold pour with a medium white head. Aroma of sweet malt and blueberry muffins. Malty flavor with tons of blueberries and a crisp finish. Honestly, I kinda like it. Authentic blueberry flavor without being syrupy.

On tap. Poured clear golden. Grainy aroma with a bit of artificial blueberry. Odd bitter flavor that does not really go to well with the bleberry tartness. I can see how beginners would like this, but it’s just not my cup of tea.

On tap at the Bocktown, really nice place. Looks like pale lager. Decent creamy head that does not fade. Pretty berry aroma. Not sweet on the taste buds and comes across like many other unsweetened fruit beers. Has a typical good ale attitude about it which overtakes the session. Good tingle on the carbonation. Medium lingering bitter finish.

On tap at brewpub
I wish the baltic porter or Christmas ale had been on tap but this seemed novel enough to warrant ordering a pint. After trying it I do not know quite what to make of a fruit beer that comes with real blueberries floating in the glass. Certainly different I probably will not order it again though it might be fun for someone who doesn’t like rich complex styles.

Aroma / Appearance - The soft cream head protected not only a carbonated bronze body but also five little blueberries. They smelled like white pepper had been added along with local honey and white toast. It smelled much like an Izze fruit drink instead of a beer.

Flavor / Palate - Wheat crackers spiked with light hops and a bit of honey make this subtle and easy on the palate. The total impression is much like blueberry crumble - very fruity with a bready undertone. The circumstances mean that I might have been generous but this is not totally without merit.

Refreshing fruit beer - the smell is honey and blueberries. Lots of blueberries. Smells fantastic.
What I found interesting is this beer is nearly colorless, a very pale yellow, as if it were a Wit. Flavor is honey sweetness and tart blueberries.
There isn’t much "beer flavor" to remark on, its as if someone added tart blueberries to a BMC lager. This makes it an option for even the beer hater. Interesting brew.
