UPDATED: JUN 6, 2011 On tap at the Bocktown. Nice brown pour with a tan creamy head. No smell per se. Good carbonation. Initial darker beer and bitter flavors. Medium strong personality. Some farmy attitudes and this stuff is not bad. Perhaps a little more bitter than this lager lover cares for. Finish is medium long bitter medicinal linger.

Draft sample at FH. Poured clear dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate toasted malt and small hop aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium toasted sweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable brew that I would recommend to a freind.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a dark brown color with some orange highlights and an enormous foamy orange-beige head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was ripe dark fruits, wood and a bit of roasty malts. The flavor was tangy and bitter with notes of sugar, ripe fruits, wood, nut and roasty malts. The finish was long, dry, bitter and roasty.Light to medium body. Ok.

This poured a cloudy brown color with a big white head. Aroma was nutty, caramel and some yeast. Flavor was a bit astringent yeastyness, but also well rounded but the sweet caramel malt and the toasted nuts flavor.

On tap, pour a clear pale mahogany with a thin light tan head. Malty aroma, some toast as well. Caramel flavor with toasted bread, toffee and a bit of roast. Nice hop finish. Smooth mouthfeel, if a bit thin.
