4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours hazy golden orange color with a nice 2 finger dense off white head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Some thick soapy lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of huge grapefruit, orange zest, pine, pineapple, floral, mango, grass, and herbal spiciness. Fantastic aromas with great balance and hop complexity. Taste of huge grapefruit, orange zest, pineapple, pine, floral, caramel, grass, and herbal spiciness. Nice amount of piney bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, pine, pineapple, floral, caramel, and herbal on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic balance and complexity of hop flavors; with just enough malt balance to not make the bitterness overpowering. Almost no cloying bitterness on the finish. Medium carbontion and body; with a lightly creamy and very crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a small warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is an amazing IPA as expected. Awesome hop complexity and balance; very crisp and smooth to sip on. Outstanding.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a dark golden color with a thin off white head. Aroma is fairly mild with slight hops present. Taste ratchets up the hops quite a bit. Pineapple, pine, and grapefruit all present. Feel is fairly bitter, with a balance of fruit in the aftertaste. Overall, a good example of a west coast IPA...

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle. Rating #171. Decent beer overall, great aroma, pineapple and a nice tropical mix as well. Flavor was decent, pretty bitter, not as much of that pineapple I liked so much with the aroma, but it may of had a little age on it, flavor just seemed to miss a little something to me. (2473)

In a trade from Barak316, thanks for the advice on this one!!!!
Pours a golden orange with minimal white head. Terrific tracing. AWESOME IPA with great hop flavor but is well balanced. One of the best I have ever had.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz bottle. Almost clear rusty orange with an ivory head. Nose is orange, caramel and catty hops. Body is quite chewy oozing resin; dense with residual stickiness. Taste is dried pineapple, citrus peel and grapefruit juice. As advertised this stuff is as dank as good Cali bud.

I stumbled across Fat Headís during a business trip in Cleveland a couple years ago; Iím a Michigan native. I tried this beer first, and I was completely blown to find a world-class IPA being produced by a brewery that up until that point, I hadnít heard of. I have been singing their praises ever since.
Now that it is available in bottles, I was fortunate to get my hands on it once again. Everything about this West-coast style IPA is top notch. Intense pine and fruit aroma, and the taste is enough to stimulate the palate of even the most grizzled IPA veterans. A must try.
