COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Uncivilized and aggressive this west coast styled IPA packs wicked hop flavors and aroma. Savage amounts of Simcoe, Columbus, and Cascade hops define this brews signature pine and citrus notes. Try with our smoked wings in the Killer sauce and run the risk of a shrunken head!

Bottle - Pours an amber/orange with white head, good retention. The nose is filled with oranges, tangerines, and other citrus notes. The tastes is oranges and grapefruits with a bitter and a nicely balanced malt finish. I want more!!!

Was excited to try this beer, but was left a bit disappointed. All hops. No malt. At 7.5% there should be some room for a bit of sweetness on the back. Pours a beautiful clear gold with ample white head and fantastic lacing. Scent is a beautiful piney and citrus blend. The taste is just a bit of an onion bomb in my opinion. Well carbonated with light medium body. Plan on giving this another go when I have the chance. Bottle - Trade from FooFaa

This is the prototype of an IPA. Hops assault you right away, but it doesnít have a distinct bite that others, like Stone, are known for. Itís bitter, but balanced, and it lingers for a good minute. I say itís the prototype because there isnít much that deviates from that...there arenít pronounced notes of anything like grapefruit or resin. Itís just your average IPA profile, but incredibly well done.

Bottle (12 oz). Thanks to Randall! Clear golden/orange with a medium white head and sticky lacing. Aroma is of pine, citrus, malt/caramel, floral presence and sweetness notes. Taste is moderately sweet with pine, citrus, malt/caramel, floral notes, light alcohol presence and moderate bitterness. Medium body. Moderately dry. Medium carbonation. Good IPA. Thereís no bottling date, so I canít tell how old is this one, but itís probably not as fresh as it could be. Still a more than decent IPA that I would drink on a regular basis. Refreshing!

Meh, for some reason Ratebeer lost my rating and I need to enter it again.

Bottle thanks to Tom, thanks a lot! Let me sum it up (I donít want to enter the full length review again for now): this isnít too balanced and borders on being harsh. Head doesnít stay or leave any lacing. I donít like the hop schedule (aroma and bitter) that much. Seems a bit weak to me for a medal winner. Also, please start putting some best before information on your bottles.

Bottle shared at Ale Alpharetta. Pours a amber/orange with white head. Nose is chalked full of beautiful citrus (orange/grapefruit). Good bit in the end. Top notch IPA.

Wow, the hops hit you at the first touch on the tongue. Even as the bottle comes close you can taste and smell the hops. And the taste lingers for least two minutes after swallowing. If you like IPAs, this one is perfect. To paraphrase HHGG, "take a brick and wrap it in hops and hit yourself in the head"... ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Bottle. This is an IPA. The bitterness, herbal taste that one would expect. No fruit, just straight in your face IPA.

Clear copper with a generous foamy head and curtains of lace. This is heaven for hopheads - taste has just a hint of malt, but it hasnít fully asserted itself before pine hops roll over it so aggressively that there is nothing else to savor. If hops are your thing, this is your brew. Otherwise, good luck.

Aroma is moderately hippy with lots of grapefruit, citrus, tropical fruit and a balanced pine resin note. Faint malt backbone, but this is mostly hops. Pours a fairly clear golden orange with a thick slightly off white head with fairly good retention. Low lacing and fairly small legs. Flavor starts with a light sweet malt character with some cracker notes. After that it is all hops: lots of grapefruit and pine resin, lesser notes of other citrus and tropical fruit. Moderately high bitterness that is fairly clean. Light alcohol note in the finish along with a lingering bitterness and light malt note. Lingering pine resin and grapefruit. Finish is nice and dry. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall a very enjoyable IPA, but I must say I was expecting the hops to be brighter and fruitier. I have had this on tap before and remember it being a much fruitier IPA - this bottle is fairly dank and resiny. Still a very good, West Coast IPA. I wonder if some of the fruitiness was lost in transport to CA, but the tap version I had was also in CA.
