COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Uncivilized and aggressive this west coast styled IPA packs wicked hop flavors and aroma. Savage amounts of Simcoe, Columbus, and Cascade hops define this brews signature pine and citrus notes. Try with our smoked wings in the Killer sauce and run the risk of a shrunken head!

A huge thanks to Cliff for this growler. As soon as I cracked the lid, a bouquet of citrusy hops filled the room. The balance in the flavor is great, bready malts, citrus/pine/resin hops. A great beer. Thanks Cliff!

Growler from fatknitty. Huge hop nose, hell yeah. Big dank and citrus, light malt backbone. Crackers and grain. Light, love it. Assertive as fuck. Pours bright golden, great frothy lasting head and lace. The flavor is big and danky, chewy citrus pith and pine, light bread and crackers malt backbone. Dry resiny chewy finish. Lingering hoppy burps. Fucking solid stuff. Would drink all the time.

Growler at home thanks to miketd. What a killer IPA this one is! Served the day after I got it, from my Minneapolis Town Hall Glass. Pours clear orange, thick cream head, great lacing. Nose is fantastic: Many-layered citrus, spice, tropical fruit, big pine and spruce notes, just so close to being perfect... Flavours of bitter grapefruit, very spritzy/juicy, which is just how I like it. Possibly the best IPA Iíve had to-date.

On tap at the brewpub not long ago. Extremely good, and very well balanced, definitely not overpowering. To be honest, I wish I remembered more about it, this is more of a tick than anything at this point.

16oz draft on tap at the Pittsburgh location. Pours a crystal clear, bright orange with one ring of head that faded very fast. Nice, punchy nose, scallions, pine, grapefruit, lemons, earthy, onions. Flavor was similar, bright citrus, pungent garlic, hop leaves, resinous, a little malt sweetness rounding it out. Reminded me of a slightly less tight version of Pliny. Medium bodied, big, zesty finish. Solid beer.

UPDATED: SEP 7, 2012 Thus might be the best IPA Iíve ever had. Citrus/pine on the nose. Quite effervescent. Golden in color. Totally drinkable and delicious. Wow.

From a growler from Fat Headís, shared by someone who i donít currently remember. Poured a clear golden orange color with a huge foamy white head. The aroma is heavy on the pine hop character with a decent amount of citrus. Flavor and body is crisp, pine, citrus notes. Very tasty!

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2012 Tap at brewpub. This beer rocks. Pliny the Elder for those who cannot find Pliny the Elder. Strong grapefruit in the aroma and taste from the Simcoe hops. Wonderful pour with a solid but not overpowering head. It is a shame that this beer is not more widely available, because it is truly wonderful. Re-reviewed based on a fresh bottle as a trade extra. Canít possibly be as good as my previous review, can it? It IS! The aroma hits you over the head from the moment the bottle is opened. The flavor is all hoppy grapefruit and citrus. My hands down favorite IPA.

Did you expect anything less than perfection? This IPA is a medal winner at GABF with great reason. The color is spot on, the nose is entrancing, the taste is to die for and you can keep sipping on it for quite some time. Doesnít get better than that! If only it were truly sessionable, but at 7.5% youíre going to have to show some restraint and keep to a few of these. This is THE benchmark beer for me!

On tap at Fat Headís, Pittsburgh. Brilliant hop aroma, fresh and juicy with floral and fruity notes. Mild pale malt sweetness and carbonic acidity. Medium amber-golden clear, with off-white foamy lacing head. Medium bodied with medium to high carbonation. Pale malt sweetness with a bit of caramel, aggressive hop flavor with fruity notes and a big bitter finish and bitter after.
