Uncivilized and aggressive this west coast styled IPA packs wicked hop flavors and aroma. Savage amounts of Simcoe, Columbus, and Cascade hops define this brews signature pine and citrus notes. Try with our smoked wings in the Killer sauce and run the risk of a shrunken head!

Amber color out of the bottle with a sticky white head. Great fresh hop nose of pineapple and orange zest. Thick hop candy flavors with orange marmalade, canned pineapple and manderine orange notes. Sweet sticky mouthfeel. Long hop resin and red grapefruit rind bitterness in the finish. Really nice, sticky hop head beer. I felt more like a IIPA.

On tap - light orange in color. Strong citrus hops aromas. Fantastic flavor. This has to be the best beer in Ohio! I love it!

UPDATED: OCT 3, 2012 355mL mega fresh bottle thanks to Dan! Pours a clear, filtered, no bottle refermentation (good) amber/orange. Larger, large bubbled, semi rocky meringue foam. Excellent retention. Widely spaced, webby lacing. Nose is soft butterscotch, lemon detergent (volatile), thick orange gummies. Taste is super rich butterscotch, restrained orange and grapefruit peel, mild pine sap, maple, sweet orange syrup. Palate is very bitter, nutty, some walnut/Brazil nut, mild spruce tips. Very rich, quenching, fairly aggressive. 10/2/2012 7/4/8/5/15=3.9

355mL second mega fresh bottle from Dan. Letís try this again. Pours with a better, rockier, sheen, buttermilk head. Big retention and better, complete lacing. Nose has no off flavors, more peaches and cream, pineapple, vanilla. Taste is very West Coast in profile reminding me of Sculpin and Alesmith IPA up front, but finishing much more aggressively bitter with mega spruce tip and pine sap. Delicious. Palate is a bit too sharply bitter moving to slight sawdust. The aroma is quite inviting. Very nice stuff. Easy to love. Glad I got some extra bottles. 10/3/2012 8/4/8/3/16=3.9

Bottle from my neighbor Bob - thanks! Probably the best IPA Iíve had in a long time and certainly worthy of the praise afforded from other sources. The creamy finish goes down well and nicely balances the citrus aftertaste. No hop bite here.

Enjoyed in a snifter. Pours a cloudy dark orange with a 4 finger pillowy white head. Dominant nose of Simcoe and Cascade. Very piney on the nose. Taste is pretty chewy. This is a DIPA not an IPA. It has a solid malt back bone, lots of piney cone and pine resin taste. Pretty sweet and still quite drinkable.

UPDATED: OCT 6, 2012 Bottle thnks to beerman6686, Thanks Dan! Pour is clear amber with a small white head. Aroma is citrus hop burst with a hint of pine hop and caramel malt. The aroma is big and clean with with grapefruit and pineapple notes dominating. Flavor is clean and slightly spicy up front. Some black pepper noted first. Next, clean citrus hop notes with hints of pine hops come though. The malt is subtle but more prevalent in the finish. Not much sweetness at all. More of a dry biscuit malt. Overall, the palate and the flavor profile is more subtle than the aroma led me to believe. Easy to drink.

Poured from a growler. Appearance: golden yellow-orange color with a finger offsite off-white, thick head. The color is beautiful. Quite a bit of retainment for an IPA. Smell: strong pine and citrus smell, maybe a little too strong actually. Taste: unrealistically good taste. Great hops flavor, mild alcoholic kick. Mouthfeel: a little carbonated, probably because of the serving type. A bit dry, but it goes down smooth. Overall: without a doubt the best single IPA Iíve ever had. Incredible taste. I will be disappointed when the growler is empty.

Thanks Huhzubendah! Pours a dark golden color with a thin off white head. Aroma is fairly mild with slight hops present. Taste ratchets up the hops quite a bit. Pineapple, pine, and grapefruit all present. Feel is fairly bitter, with a balance of fruit in the aftertaste. Overall, a good example of a west coast IPA... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPad

12oz bottle. Rating #171. Decent beer overall, great aroma, pineapple and a nice tropical mix as well. Flavor was decent, pretty bitter, not as much of that pineapple I liked so much with the aroma, but it may of had a little age on it, flavor just seemed to miss a little something to me. (2473)
