Bottle. Clementine and pine/orange peel aroma. Golden yellow with nice head. Sweet orange malt and strongly bitter pine and orange peel flavor. Great balance. Very nice - a great beer that breaks me out of my IPA doldrums.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle as an extra in a trade with tobiasfunke5 over at BA. Pours a clear orange amber with a medium to large sized creamy white head. Big resinous citrus hops, pungent and dank, with a clean crisp malt backbone. Medium bodied, smooth and malty, with a big bright citrus hop component. Moves to a tropical fruit and grapefruit bitter finish, lingering with some quinine notes. Fantastic.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Cool brew courtesy of Homer321. The 12oz bottle pours with an opaque coppery body that has golden hues and supports a near white head of foam that leaves behind spotty lacing. The aroma has rich pine and citrus hop goodness, a resiny grassy note and a bit of malts in the background. The taste is just as rich as the nose led onto with malt sweetened grapefruit and tangelo and then rolling toward a firm degree of resiny pine like hop bitterness that takes over the flavor with a modest base of sweet malts and light booziness. Wow, this is loaded with hops that are heavy on the bitter resiny side. There are plenty of IIPA that are less hopped than this IPA. Love the hop hazed appearance, it makes me happy.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
In short: A wonderful citrusy/tropical IPA
How: Growler shared at RBSG 2011 grand tasting
The look: Clear shinning light-golden body topped by persitent small white head
In long: Nose is an explosion of citrusy/tropical hops with apricots, peaches, grapefruits, etc. A solid malt pale malts backbone that provides body but only adds some crackers and abit of caramel to the flavor elements spectrum. Citrusy/tropical fruity hops and more citrusy/tropical fruity hops. Not too resinous, remains refreshing. My second-to-last RBSG 2011 grand tasting rating. And do I remember what I did after the tasting? Of course I donít. No need to anymore, thereís youtube :(

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
UPDATED: OCT 28, 2013 Bottle, courtesy of b3shine and another bottle by Sammy via a separate trade. Thanks guys! Bright orange body, tight lightly gold-tinted head. Very aromatic nose, perfumey ruby grapefruit, lush tropical fruits, hint of eucalyptus. Gorgeous aroma! The palate is awash in fresh flavourful hop character, with sweet grapefruit standing out among a veritable fruitbowl of tropical fruits. There is a hint of mint in there too. The malts are just a hair sweeter than biscuit/cracker character, so the hops really are the star here. The body and the bitterness are austere enough that drinkability reaches dangerous proportions. Fantastic! So glad I have another bottle of this!

UPDATED: AUG 13, 2013 World-class IPA right here. Smell could be better but it is still good. Big hop flavor. Medium to high bitterness. West-coast style. The Simcoe dry hopped cask version is even more spectacular.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle: † Fireweed honey in color, thin to moderate frothy off-white head, nice lacing. † Bright piney and citrusy nose, a touch candied and even a bit tropical. † Smooth dank hopiness on the tongue, citrusy, pine like, but also sweet and without too much bitterness. † A lot of flavor but without being overly nasty. † Very nice balance, only wished it were a touch maltier... but I cannot complain too much about this one. † Packed with flavor, and isnít overly bitter. † Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full. † If it were maltier I would have given it a 4.1 overall. † Clean finish, candied citrus peel, pith, pine, and a bit of dank hops. † This was a very well made IPA, and one that doesnít over salivate. † Good stuff!

Growler from fatknitty. Huge hop nose, hell yeah. Big dank and citrus, light malt backbone. Crackers and grain. Light, love it. Assertive as fuck. Pours bright golden, great frothy lasting head and lace. The flavor is big and danky, chewy citrus pith and pine, light bread and crackers malt backbone. Dry resiny chewy finish. Lingering hoppy burps. Fucking solid stuff. Would drink all the time.
