Commercial Description:
Uncivilized and aggressive this west coast styled IPA packs wicked hop flavors and aroma. Savage amounts of Simcoe, Columbus, and Cascade hops define this brews signature pine and citrus notes. Try with our smoked wings in the Killer sauce and run the risk of a shrunken head! 77 IBU

Refreshing IPA, very pale in color, little head, little lacing. Nose is all citrus & pine, flavor is strongly cascade hops, citrusy and only slightly bitter with a pine bite. Slight caramel malt backbone - Just a lovely thing with their BBQ.

Growler from David + Katie. Pours a clear gold with a nice head with tons of lacing. Huge hoppy dank nose with some tropical fruits, light malts. Citrus hop flavor, some apricot, firm bitterness. A very drinkable west-coast-style single IPA. Very very very nice.

On cask at Fatheads North Olmsted. The bartender set this beauty down on the bar and I was hit with citrus aroma from three feet away! Taste was perfect citrus from the start, surprisingly different in the middle with a taste I couldn’t quite put my finger on and I’ve never got in an I.P.A. and finished with a nice soft, relatively mild bitterness. A nice little change for the tired American I.P.A. pallet. Excellent, and worth the pilgrimage to Olmsted or wherever the hell I was. Underrated.

Tap @ Fat Head’s. Pours a slightly hazy dark gold, the small fizzy white head left some spotty lacing. Nice resiny hop nose with minimal malt interference. Very hoppy, but very well restrained bitterness, must be heavy on the late addition hops. Lingering hoppy finish. Light to medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Pretty refreshing. The cask sample of this was better, a lot more soft and the bitterness was a little more pronounced.

On-tap at Pizza Plant.Cloudy grapefruit with a foaming white head. Lots of lace. Grapefruit aroma. Initially there is a strong hop bite, nay burn, then the mouth gets more used to the acidity. The flavour is pretty good grapefuit. 77IBU.

Sample at the brewpub. Clear copper pour with a medium off-white head. Citrusy orange and pine hop aroma with a touch of malt. Piney and orangy hop flavor with a hint of spice from the simcoe with a piney finish. Best beer of the night and maybe the best of theirs I’ve had, but I’d have to try it side by side with Hop Juju to crown an official winner.

this was the beer i had a few of while at fat heads- super dank aroma and flavor- that ctz hop was overwhelming and awesome. nice lemony/citrus notes as well- bitter for sure, and got a bit tough in the drinkability department towards the end of the second pint, but nice for sure.
