COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Once upon a frozen evening way up north, a sweet local honey named Holly inspired our Jolly Fat Man (as only Holly can) to create this festive spiced holiday ale. We think you will enjoy his holiday creation with itís aromas and flavors of Christmas day. Sweet malt, ginger, honey and cinnamon spice. Sip this by the fire with your significant other. Who knows, maybe it will lead to a little inspiration of your own. From our Jolly Fat Man to yours, Happy Holidays.

Poured from 12oz bottle, this was sent to me a while back and I apologize I canít remember who! Any hoo, pours a really dark amber red with an off white head and a little bit of lacing, aroma has a little bit of spice with a good amount of caramel and malt, the flavor has a really sweet front end with a little bit of cinnamon in the finish, dry mouthfeel, nothing crazy but not bad I suppose.

12oz bottle. Rating #38, thanks for the bottle George. Not bad overall, a little too much spice for me, more of the combination of spice and not the quantity. (2615)

Bottle. Another winter ale I donít like. So much nutmeg it hurts to drink it. I like fat heads but this is not good.

12oz bottle pours a dark brown with a bright amber hue and a large khaki head. Aroma of holiday spices, cinnamon, ginger, slight coriander, with some orange peel. Taste is sweet of cinnamon and nutmeg followed my ginger and honey with underlying hints of oranges. All spices and flavors are unique and present pretty well rounded. Unfortunately, holiday ales along with many of the spices here are just not my thing. However if it is this would be a good one for you.

Thanks to goryshkewych for the share on this one. Cheers, George! Pours a hazy copper-orange with a white head. Nice lacing. Nose is sweet malt, ginger, some mild sarsaparilla, and mild citrus. Flavor follows the nose with sweet malts, ginger, some pie spices, and sweetness with tangs of root beer. Light to medium in body and interesting overall.

Pour is somewhat dark from a bottle. Smell is sweet. Taste is better than expected but still carries that spiced thing. Does have some co2, not much. Bitter herbs start to stick their little heads up. Getting worse as the session continues. Typical lighter xmas beer but it must hide its alky fairly well at 7%.

Bottle, courtesy Brigadier, thanks! Pour is dark gold/copper with a small off-white head, little retention/lace. Aroma of ginger, cinnamon, honey, citrus, spice. Taste is lightly sweet, ginger, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, citrus. Palate is drier, soft, oily, sweet finish. Very enjoyable.

UPDATED: DEC 18, 2013 Reddish brown in color with particulate throughout drink, settling to the bottom. Very sweet initial taste with malt character and spices. Sweetness lingers. Like drinking spiced candy. Enjoyed but one is good enough for me. 12-15-2013 Enjoyed a lot more thaniremembered. Pine needle taste still a little overwhelming by the end.

Nice Christmas ale. Rich honey aroma and flavor. Heavily spiced, but doesn't detract and meshes well with the honey. Peppery finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle compliments of my neighbor Bob - thanks! Plenty of spices and unique aromas without being obnoxious. Somewhat weak on body but well worth the purchase.
