COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Once upon a frozen evening way up north, a sweet local honey named Holly inspired our Jolly Fat Man (as only Holly can) to create this festive spiced holiday ale. We think you will enjoy his holiday creation with itís aromas and flavors of Christmas day. Sweet malt, ginger, honey and cinnamon spice. Sip this by the fire with your significant other. Who knows, maybe it will lead to a little inspiration of your own. From our Jolly Fat Man to yours, Happy Holidays.

12 oz bottle compliments of my neighbor Bob - thanks! Plenty of spices and unique aromas without being obnoxious. Somewhat weak on body but well worth the purchase.

Bottle. Pours deep red with a medium off-white head. Aroma is heavy spice, orange peel, alcohol. Taste is mild-medium sweet, full of spice. Finish is spice and alcohol. Medium body, soft carbonation. Okay.

Delicious seasonal ale. The cinnamon, citrus zest, and hops shine in this holiday warmer. Loved the name, too.

Wow, spices, spices, and spices. Dark pour, fruit and spice aroma, and taste, did I mention spices. Not for me.

On tap at the brewpub. Amber color with a thin ivory colored head. Spiced nose like you would expect from a Christmas Ale with nutmey, ginger and cinnamon. Strong malty backbone with honey sweetness, ginger, cinnamon and pie crust notes. My mom used to make cinnamon and sugar swirls out of the left over pie crust dough, and this beer reminds me of that.

12 oz Bottle-Bonus from miketd-Pepsiedcans Growler Swap Part Awsome-Light clear amber pour a quickly disapating tan head. Spiced malt aroma. Malt based brew w/a nice spiced flavor. Cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, orange peel, some roasted nuts. Lots of flavor, but it in balance. Not overpowering or complex, smooth & easy to drink. Nice "winter warmer" type brew, could definatly put a few of these away. Thanks Mike!

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a snifter. The bottle says itís 7.4% abv, rather than the 6.7% listed. Pours a darker amber color with a beige head of foam that starts about a finger width thick and dissipates down to a thin layer atop the beer pretty quickly. In the aroma i can pick up sweet honey and nutmeg. Some fruity characteristics come through as well, but they are mostly nondescript. In the taste I get a lot more of the spices. The cinnamon, ginger, and orange peel are much more noticeable in the taste than what I had found in the aroma. The orange peel really brings this beer to life. Thatís a nice little touch. The spices dry the finish out nicely. This is a nice winter warmer. Itís one I wouldnít mind having in my fridge.
