COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Once upon a frozen evening way up north, a sweet local honey named Holly inspired our Jolly Fat Man (as only Holly can) to create this festive spiced holiday ale. We think you will enjoy his holiday creation with itís aromas and flavors of Christmas day. Sweet malt, ginger, honey and cinnamon spice. Sip this by the fire with your significant other. Who knows, maybe it will lead to a little inspiration of your own. From our Jolly Fat Man to yours, Happy Holidays.

Aroma of dark fruit with hints of spices. Pours a clear light ruby with a full light tan head. Thereís a strong blast of cinnamon, blended with the other spices and a sweet malt backbone. The spicing lingers for a while, and compares well to the other Cleveland Christmas ales.

Pours a reddish brown color with ivory colored head. Spices, toast, roasted malts on the nose; follows onto the palate. Medium bodied. Finishes with spice.

This is a very complex Christmas ale. I really enjoyed the hints of spices and honey that this beer has. Right balance of malt hops and spice. I would recommend it to anyone

11/19/15. 12oz bottle in Destin, probably from Beachís. Amber pour with a small khaki head. Spiced aroma, ginger and cinnamon pops, caramel, some dark fruits. Okay flavor, spices coming through, molasses, dark fruits, caramel. Not bad.

My Bottom Line:
Honey, ginger and cinnamon are well balanced in this soft and rich wintry brew.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the gleaming red mist.
-The nearly frothy texture works well with the delicate sugars.
-Caramel malts are present but never overbearing.
-This is another very good brew from Fat Headís. I need to get to know these guys betterÖ

Bottle.

Turboninja (342) - Tampere, FINLAND - DEC 30, 2015
Tap@Wine Spot, Cleveland, USA. Medium classy sweet aroma of cherry, plum, bourbon and a hint of spicy christmas aromas. Dark amber color with small creamy light beige head. Hazy liquid. Medium bit messy, unbalanced taste of plum, cherry and bourbon. Medium taste spectrum and medium aftertaste with sweet malts and a hint of bourbon. Light/medium body with light/medium carbonation. Overall, messy product, although aroma is great.

It's good. It lacks some flavor on the initial taste, but it gets better on the palate and adds to the overall, thirst quenching drinkability. It has an hint of malt that then has a slight ginger burn in the back. Not enough in my opinion, but very good ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tasted from bottle. Pours a ruby amber with off white head. Aroma of cinnamon and spices. Taste is a pretty spicey Christmas ale. Flavors of cinnamon, honey, hint of ginger, and other spices. Overall a very well done Christmas ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Half a bottle in the Shades of Green parking garage after shattering a 6-pack on the concrete. Lots of tasty spice like a good ginger snap. Great cold weather warmer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On Tap at Melt Columbus, last Christmas. Delayed review. Holly Jolly pours a medium bright copper beer. Nose is Christmas spice (cloves, ginger, and cinnamon) with a moderate amount of roasted caramelization from the hops. The taste is more of the same. Spices lead with a nice amount of roasted cereals and brown sugar. Body is light but with some carbonation. Overall, an above average, but rather run of the mill winter beer.

12 oz. bottle from ryanmcfly1985- thanks again, Ryan! Nice trade bonus. Pours a mostly clear brownish amber with a small beige head that leaves a lasting ring. Spices lead the way, and ginger is foremost among them, followed by cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg, with some backing but weaker sweet and caramel malts, pine, and a shot of honey. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation and a thin, spicy mouthfeel. This was tried about four to five months after it came out, and it definitely seemed out of balance in a way that suggested age. That wasnít intentional; I meant to drink it sooner. Now I know.
