3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Good dipa. Pours orange yellow with thin white head. Orange and pine aroma, tad of sweetness. Taste is grapefruit pine and orange with a malt backbone that holds it all together. Wish the hops were a little more of a standout but still solid, won gold for a reason. Medium body light carbonation.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
A: Pale copper/amber with a small white head. Great lacing.
S: Mango, grapefruit, tangerine, pine, and slightly resinous.
T: Very piney and slightly citrus, semi harsh bitterness throughout. Bready on the back end with some caramel sweetness.
M: Medium and chewy. Dry and bitterness made it a bit chalky.
O: Alright beer, didnít really live too much up to the hype for me but not bad. The crazy thing about this beer is it is very similar to the beer I made a month ago, same aroma and flavor to me.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Drank this immediately after head hunter. Orange pour with a soapy white head. Aroma of malt and dead flowers. The taste is well balanced for a Dipa. Medium malt backbone with just enough citrus and pine to balance it. Finishes dry and bitter.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 ounce bottle, bottled on 02/26/14. Served in a DFH IPA glass, the beer pours a hazy orange color with a couple inch off-white head that stayed around a long time. Thereís also a lot of lacing. Aroma is great, the brew smells mostly like citrusy (orange peel, oranges, tropical fruit, melon) and pine hops, along with some caramel malt. I think the taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but thereís also some herbalness and apricot flavor along with a good bitter hoppy finish. Mouthfeel/body is medium, itís a bit slick and coating with moderate carbonation. I think itís a pretty good Imperial IPA, Iíd certainly buy this again in the future.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle shared. Poured a bright deep orange with little white head. The aroma is wow omg fantastic scents of pine, citrus and malt. The flavor is as intense in hops as you will get without going over the edge. Blended very well with the malts. I can see why this one is a gold medal winner. Overall one must smell and drink to enjoy.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a golden color with a decent head and nice lacing on the glass.
The aroma is dank, fruity, & melon forward with just loads of juicy inviting hops.
The flavor is pretty bitter, not so much as to be unpleasant but ouching the bounds of what I like in hop bitterness. Itís got a lot of citrus rind, passion fruit, & melony hops. It keeps it all very chill @ a nice dry level.
Just very very enjoyable.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz. bottle from the in-laws - thanks! Pours a clear, deep golden-orange with a finger-plus of barely off-white head that settles evenly. The aroma has grapefruit, pine, florals, sweet malts, and some phenolic boozy notes in the back. The flavor is better, with orange and grapefruit citrus, big pine resin, caramel and other sweet malts, florals, and just a little tropical fruit. Medium-bodied, with modest carbonation and a resinous mouthfeel. I wish the aroma popped just a little more, but otherwise this is an excellent double IPA.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Canít find bottled on date. Poured 3/10/14. Translucent gold-amber with a thin white head. Aroma is mango, pineapple, grass, pine, resin, very floral, perfume, some citrus. Taste is grassy, herbal, light flavor of vegetables, floral, citrus, spicy, grapefruit, pine; caramel and bread notes are present but light; finish is bitter orange peel, grassy, herbal. Light lacing throughout. Medium-light bodied. Medium carbonation. Very interesting beer. The hop profile is fairly aggressive, but the body is very thin and easy-drinking; Iím not sure the hop characteristics lend themselves to a beer with a body so light as this. Otherwise, nice, flavorful, and interesting.
