COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bordering on the supernatural, Hop Juju is the perfect name for this beer as the magical hops cast their spell with intense, dank aromas of pine and citrus and big, aggressive, bitter flavors of pine, grapefruit and orange. Nicely balanced by a very sturdy malt backbone. and a hint of alcohol.

Enjoyed at gabf 2014. It pours with a nice clear gold body that supports a full tan head. The aroma is just pulsing with tangelo and clementine citrus hops as well as spicy hops along with a dash of sweet orange. Wow! The aroma is wonderful and rushes right out of the glass. The taste does not disappoint with a rush of tangelo and grapefruit sweetened by just enough malts and then it bleeds wonderfully into bitter citrus to spicy to almost onion like hoppy spiciness. This is just delicious with juiciness mixed with lots of yummy citrus bitterness and resiny to spicy notes. Terrific.

Bottle courtesy of Nate. Rated 5/13/14 - Pours golden, thin, white head. Bouquet is huge, cat poss and litter box, grapefruit, sugary and sweet. Smooth and watery, caramel backbone, lots of floral, lemon, mild to moderate bitter. Very Pliny-esque. Wow. Just wow.

I love a good citrusy DIPA! Lots of orange and grapefruit in the aroma. Pine straw, lemon as well. Taste combines all in a great mixture of sweet and resin-y heaven. Smooth finish.

12 oz bottle poured into a Spiegelau tulip. Bottled 2/13/2014. Hazy golden orange with 2.5 fingers of off-white head, nice lacing. Aromas of grapefruit citrus, floral notes, caramel and sweet malt. Tastes of sweet malt, grapefruit citrus, some alcohol, faded hops. Medium body with a semi-dry and warm finish. Medium carbonation, juicy mouthfeel. Hops have definitely fallen apart but still tasty otherwise. Need to re-try this fresh.

On tap at Local Cantina. Deep copper orange pour. Aroma of resiny citrus, pine. Tastes are big citrus - orange, grapefruit, resin, floral, grass, toasty malt, slight onion vibe. Well balanced, bitter but not aggressively so. Nice.

Growler via trade. Pours a deep orange with medium off white head. Aroma of tropical and citrus fruits and dank. Pineapple and mango on the tropical side and orange and grapefruit on the citrus side. Taste follows the nose and I also got some pine in there and a nice amount of bitter. I got some alcohol, but not a ton. I felt this was well balanced and is now one of my favorite double IPAs (wish I could get this easier)!

Pours golden amber with off white head. Aroma is mainly sweet grapefruit. Flavor is rich in dank citrus hops. Strong bitterness, but not overpowering. A good caramel balance. Rich body and you get a warming alcohol punch in the finish.
